There was a moment when THAT something happened. Around the 35th minute Shaum Maloney hit the post and then the rebound was fired off the same post, from a tight angle, by Marc Antoine Fortune.
That was the moment something changed. The stadium erupted inĀ spontaneousĀ applause andĀ appreciation of what we were seeing. It’s the first time I have seen a reaction like that for at least 3 seasons. It was like we had reached the end of the tunnel or turned that corner. We started to believe.
A few contenders for Man Of The Match. James Forrest deserves a post it note with “handle with care” on it. Future Scottish Player Of The Year, Efrain Juarez, played well at right back, Biram Kayal was being mentioned in all the static on the way out the ground and the lone drummer of the Green Brigade put in a shift.
But, the Coffee & Tv Man Of The Match is: Scott Brown. Wonder if he is looking around at others and thinking he better do a bit?

I can’t agree abour Brown. He isn’t the value we expect or deserve. He certainly isn’t a Celtic captain any more than McManus was. However, the main thing is the team is playing with flair and confidence again. I’m sure Hugh dallas and his boys will be keeping a close eye on things and calling their secret meetings to make sure they all know what to do incase of too much success for the Hoops.

@Joe
I couldn’t fault Brown today. His best performance for us in a long long while.
Credit where credit due but what is his long term future? Others in the midfield have more in their locker…

LOTW…..You cheered up yet mate?
or still a major optimist?
…and Joe keep the faith. Broony is deserving of his cap’n armband hes tenacious, vocal and enjoys the game. This is the season he will develop even more as a top player. Time to cement yourself knee deep in Celtic folklore is what I say Broony.

LOTW….as you know I’m no Scott Brown fan, but he was a class act for much of today. And what’s this “pass and move into space” palaver that we seem to have caught? What’s suddenly wrong with “give the ball to one of the wingers and hope to feck something happens” that we’ve been doing for 5 or 6 years?
Oh, and I’m liking the new seats in 412. Although maybe today the moaners would even have been silenced in 410.

@ Pujol
Wait until I have beer…412 is a different place.
Pass and move was invented by the Spanish in the summer. Wikipedia told me that.

I’m very glad Brown is proving me wrong. It helps he’s not surrounded by pish anymore. I can’t wait for the first Rangers game, that’ll be the first real test. I hope Desperate Dan dumps elbows on his arse !

@wildrover
the increase in quality means that so far this season no one has bemoaned the loss of barry robson. progress is being made.
