Izzy Busy Let’s Get Izzy. Player Ratings, Vote For MOTM.

Noon kick offs are problematic. If you work on a Saturday morning then you have no chance of making the game, if your partner works on a Saturday morning leaving you with kid sitting duties then you have no chance of making the game. Worse still, the early finish means that your other half can drag you round the shops (or in my case house-hunting) afterwards.

Pah!

The early kick off meant I missed the first goal. I was travelling at the time and had to listen to Rob McLean sound despaired at the goal. When he muttered Stokes had scored he might as well been telling me that my Granny had died such was the tone it was delivered.

We wanted – ok, needed – an easy afternoon and we got one. Loovens was dropped to prepare for his interview with Piers Morgan and St Johnston played football like men who put socks on their hands.

Now, usually, you would get the goals, the ratings then a review of how I think Emillio Izaguirre is soooo cool that having only his first name on the back of his jersey is allowed and that he looks like a wee Tunisian I once meet who ran the hotel I was staying in beach bar.

I may also muse that fortune favoured Lennon with Maloney becoming ill and him choosing to play the more robust Cha Du Ri in the midfield gave us a more solid look.

But, internet problems, hangover, getting sent a link to another Poppy story – is it that time of year again, I’m too old to be bothered about that debate and I cant be bothered whoring for hits by writing about it – , Dallas-gate, McDonald-gate, any other gate that you can think off, part exchanges, bridging loans, salesman being cocks and lack of time mean that the last few paragraphs are the review.

Plus there has been so much happened since the final whistle that the game seems like an age ago. I would have to get Doctor Who’s Tardis to revisit it cohesively.

So, the Ratings, then the opperchancity for you, the reader – who ARE the most important factor in all this – to vote for your MOTM.

I know lazy blogging you will get a refund on your subscriptions.

Double F, safe in a strange shaped head sort of way, 5. Wilson, surprise inclusion, 5. Rogne, the boyband member that Louis Walsh would want to bum, 6. Danny, that’s the way, we like it, 6. Lizzy McGuire, what was our left back doing on the edge of the 18 yard box anyway? No wonder we lose goals, 9.

Cha, busy, 5. Ledley, same as usual, 5. Ki, more impressive as the weeks go on, 6. McGinn, our Naismith without the diving and cuntfactor, 7.

Samaras, I don’t really see the point anymore, 3. Stokes, no goal so he will have been disappointed but his all round play was superb. Does he offer more than Hooper up top?, 7.

So, Lizzy McGuire gets it from this lazy blogger. Who was yours?

Nice to see some actual footballing discussion from someone…

Izaguirre has slotted in just right, but I went with Ki. Big hopes for this guy, he also stood up well in the Rangers game, a worry I had before, and his passing and dead ball delivery has been spot on.

I’m ready for Samaras to go. I think his technique is good, but he’s not got a good footballer’s brain. He either runs down blind alleys or right across the edge of the box, where someone sticks a boot out to reclaim the ball.

It was a much better team performance and I feel some of that was down to bombscare being absent at CB. Rogne is now under a very bright spotlight. Interesting point on Cha, that might be a better position for him. What about Juarez at RB ? Stokes, I think, is a better all round player than Hooper, but Hooper is looking like the target man we’ve needed..I’m happy with both though. We need to give Hooper better service. With Forrest and McGinn on the wings I hope that’ll happen. What are the chances of us getting Forster on a permanent after the loan spell ?

what about Juarez? a right hand-sided midfielder gets sick and a natural replacement gets left on the bench and a right back getting the gig tells me that there is something wrong in the state of meccico.

Stokes may get a run, unsure how long Hooper is out for….
