Player Beratings. Let It Rip.

|

When we lose we don’t half deserve it. We are either good or disastrously bad. Tonight will see celebrations not seen in Embra since Burke and Hare were arrested. The initial feeling is that Lennon deserves a “burking” for making the same mistakes again and again in big games.

Rather than the opposition nullifying our best players our manager does it for us. He also trots out Samaras to entertain those not of a Celtic persuasion. We could moan about a soft sending off, non-award of a penalty and Hearts generally being c*nts.

But then…..that would be just hiding the truth that we weren’t very good. Two terrible goals, a sending off and our manager sent to the stand. We’ve had better evenings.

The Ratings

Double F, nothing to do, 4. Wilson, little bhoy lost, 2. Hoovield, Ikea wardrobe, 3. Danny, why the duck?, 3. Lizzy McGuire, worst game in a hoops jersey, 3. Cha, why?, 2.

Maloney, Hearts 2nd goal…what the f*ck were you doing?, 0. Ledley, harshly sent off.., 4. Ki, your in the army now, 5. Stokes, not your fault, 1. McGinn, nothingness, 2.

Samaras, like Mama Mia a f*cking Greek tragedy, -10. Hooper, as useful as a bag of wet cement, 1.

Ok, who was the best flea buzzing round the sh*t? Vote for you MOTM (sic)

We were beat as soon as the team was picked. 4-2-4 is just about acceptable at home against the diddy teams, but not when you’re away. We HAVE to play 3 in midfield.

We gave the purple-clad chimps the initiative, which in turn gave the black-clad chimp the opportunity to deliver the coup de grace.

However, Lenny’s here for the long haul, and surely to God is learning from his mistakes.

Samarasholes – Officially the worst players ever to pull on the hoops, I can’t stand the sight of the greasey long haired twat. What the hell was Lennon thinking about taking stokes off and leaving that mutton on the field. Crap performance all round and got exactly what we deserved.

  • Seamus Mac says:

Yes Samaras was poor but not as useless as that excuse for a footballer, Maloney, who should never have been been let back after giving us the finger when he took off to England,

    Coinnigí an creideamh!
    Keep the faith,

    Ceiltigh abú!!!

Maloney was poor this evening but to put him in a box with Samaras is cruel. Samaras kills puppies Shaun is scared of them.

      • Pujol says:

Shaun and Sami have the stench of Strachan-Mowbray about them.

Our 2 worst performers when the chips are down and the boots are flying? Oh yes.

I won’t be happy until everybody tainted by 2008-2010 is finally gone.

    I don’t know!!!

  • Kcim67 says:

Are we even sure Lenny is picking the team? How else do you explain 90 mins from the Greek if that is Lenny’s decision over a 17 goal partnership then our troubles are worse than you think!!!!!!!!

  • chiefinkorea says:

Didn’t see the game but starting Sammy on a cold night at Swinecastle is asking for trouble.

Fed up playing strikers in wide positions, especially in games like this. Dundee Utd is proving to be the exception – it doesn’t work. Stokes is an out and out striker and Maloney’s early season good form was playing central off the striker – he’s no wide midfielder either.

Without Brown and Kayal there’s no-one to step in that you’d say has a physical side to their game so at least play players in a position they know.

I accept Lennon will make mistakes but I worry that the same mistakes are being made a little too often. Come on bhoys, that other lot are rank, we can’t afford to let them off the hook again this season.

    • lordofthewing says:

It’s time to look at going back to back to the 433 451 hybrid he had at the start. Certain games need an extra man in the middle. Last night was one.

  • jimmy bhoy says:

somebody on here said lennon will learn from his mistakes i dont think so he made 3 changes to night another huge mistake he in my opinion should have made 1 change that being hoovield for rogne and played the other ones who started against aberdeen. take away the ref decisions penalty claim the sending off hearts to there credit were up for it and deseved there victory.lennon im afraid is to hotheaded this jumping up and down losing his rag at every decision ill tell you something i dont like a people pleaser or in his case a fans pleaser. lennon do yourself a favour and take a seat in the stand and stop all your wee bhoys nonsense its getting boring

  • sixtaeseven says:

Ledeley tackle is exactly the type of tackle our midfielder players should be putting in. Clearly won the ball.

MIB could have given a yellow cos both players were going at full pelt and it might have looked dangerous (which it wasn’t). But he was itching to punish us tonight – wonder why?

Bad night but overall, no real damage done.

Midfield staring to look threadbare for next match, though.

  • sixtaeseven says:

Yes, Lenny is making mistakes and is on a steep learning curve

    BUT

he’s not one to take it on the chin, he is up for the fight and gets my backing 100%.

Board need to seriously back him in January though, and invest wi’ the Aiden money.

  • jpd says:

Should have changed it very early on when it was obvious it wasn’t working, which was even before they scored! Juarez should have come in and helped in mid-field, Samaras should have been hooked early and McGinn cshould have come on earlier. Why not use McCourt when things were as desperate as they were? Poor nights work from all involved.

  • ianin440 says:

I listened to the BBC Scotland on line commentary. They were all right behind the referee at the ordering off. Although they had spent the night talking about the ref giving Hearts cheap free kicks and playing on when the Celts were due a free kick. It wasn`t a pleasant listen. 🙁
