Fixture Chaos

|

News that the game-that-should-never-had-been-cancelled has been rearranged for next Tuesday gives the chance for the little known phenomena of us and them playing at the same time.

Apart from those times when we play against each other.

For those of a certain age this used to be a regular occurrence and made standing next to the bloke that looked like an old pervert dressed in a brown overcoat, grey flannels and flat cap who had a portable wireless slightly more comfortable than it really should have been.

The tension will be unbearable if results start going the wrong way. This won’t be good for a team that fears playing at home.

Checking the weather for the weekend, it seems that if the game goes ahead, which will see both us and The Academics play our first games since 27th November – when we both drew – then we will be seeing Dancing On Ice rather than football.

Another call off, very possible, will see our next game as that rearranged one and a run of three home games – The Marnocks, St,Johnstone and Murderwell – before a trip to Mordor. I can’t help but feel that 12 points (something Joe Ledley agrees with) – if the Academics game goes ahead – is a must before the 2nd of Jan and I can’t help feel that is an impossible ask of us.

5 games in 16 days. Let the chaos begin.

Four wins in a row? That can be too much to ask for but we are Celtic! I`m backing the Bhoys to do it.
Are the horrible lot playing on Tuesday too?

A way to get over the predictable pattern of recent home games(if it`s a worry) would be that the team kick towards the Jock Stein stand in the first half. The defence would be operating in front of the home fans in the second half. Simples!
