Majstorovic Reveals All

|

“I picked the wrong day to stop snuffing glue”

Indeed, Leslie, you did. So did the recently downgraded Danny.

His meltdown last Saturday was not greeted with the same howls that would been reserved for a Caldwell or a McManus. Or ignored if it was O’Dea.

It was more a disappointed shake of the head “och, naw son you’ve let the family down.” that’s usually reserved for a straight laced cousin, who after a night out consisting of zambuca’s, aftershocks and lager get’s arrested pi$hing in a shop doorway.

The collapse of Danny had a massive effect on the team. As they watched him make mistake after mistake, rushed clearance after rushed clearance, which was a sequence that eventually lead to us losing a goal. The loss of that goal saw the whole team lose faith in their talisman.

Danny is their rock. They look to him to provide support. He knows this. I have spoke at length of his charging around stopping danger with no concern for his own safety. As soon as he stopped doing that and became the danger himself the team was lost. They are all soft as $hit really.

Ki is an improving young player. People are looking past his Rita Fairclough hairstyle and seeing a competent player. He said that the pressure from the stands at home is effecting the players. I’m putting that down to the innocence of youth. While there are plenty of mouths you want to hit with a wet fish to slap some intelligence into them the bottom line is the players add and cause this.

Booing achieves the square root of nothing though. The more sinister approach is silence. There is nothing more un-nerving than a half-time or a full-time whistle going only to be greeted with silence and muttering. Silence is an evil that man can’t handle. Makes booing seem unintelligent.

For those that say your allowed to make your feelings heard and the players need to now your unhappy then think on this. Do you boo at your partner when she burns your crispy pancakes and don’t you think the players know you are pi$sed off after watching them throwing away a two goal lead?

Not looking comfortable causes this. When you start thinking at 2-0 up at least we will get a point then you get the problem. The players don’t seem to like their skin recently. Instead of trying to shed it; like turtles they retreat into their shells hoping that hibernation will be their redemption.

At the start of the season we looked at the promise of a midfield that contained Juarez and Kayal. Both had energy and looked like they had a bit of heart. It was the desperation of hoping that there was something better than Scott Brown.
Juarez is now tweeting that he is missing Puma’s and Kayal is suffering from long term knack. The old heads in the in team are probably the worst players and lack any leadership qualities.

Poor Danny had a meltdown as you can only baby sit for so long before it get’s on top of you. He is going to spend this week herding cats to get himself back on track. So, Ki and Co instead of looking at the crowd look into yourself and see if you have the answer. If you do everything will be alright.

Danny`s game did go down hill v ICT. It was overwork that caused this. He became the only Celtic player capable of getting the ball back when ICT came up their right. On the other side Celtic were doing better.
I hate the moaners too and we have had this for a few years. The makers of sunny dispositions are in receivership! Celtic Park is not a great place to bring your child when the game gets sticky. 🙂
We need a cool head at the back and a midfield capable of getting the ball back. A winger who can run 60 yards with the ball would be good too.

    • lordofthewing says:

Or a manager that sees that at times one of his wingers needs to be taken off for a midfield midfielder.

  • Sean says:

    @iain440

A winger who can run 60 yards with a ball?

Ummm we may have to look around moscow for someone of that consistancy.

On a positive note at least if we get Paddy upto match fitness, to last more full 90min matches, the board could then sell him for 5 to 10 million, cos thats what they did with Aidinho Mc G. If we had ambition to win the league again and mr money bags billionaire dermot got his hands finally out of his bottomless pockets, we could have retained the services of Aidan and bought a prolific proven striker, even Janko or a Piquionne would have done, no disrespect to hoopy and stokes, but do we still lack ambition or is it just me?

    • lordofthewing says:

We do have ambitions to win the league that’s not the question. It’s when Shaun Maloney is termed a loss that’s the problem.

    I do miss McGeady. 🙁
However the return of Forrest and the other injured fellows would be nice.I wonder if Sammi is enjoying this weather.

  • Jimmy says:

My worry is we are looking for a youngster like Forrest to step up. he is for the future surely.
Maloney should not be a big loss but given the standard and lack of quality we are watching just now he is high profile.
Have to agree with Sean, Hooper and Stokes are not the answer , depressing, but we have fallen big time.
Step up the board and Mr Desmond. otherwise watch an ordinary gers stretch further away,

    • lordofthewing says:

I disagree, Stokes is a decent player -in fact I would say vital when played up front up – and Hooper is a find. 50 goals between them no probs. Our loss of form has coincided with Stokes being injured and played wide.

      • Sean says:

        Hear, hear.

Stokes has “unbelievable tekkers” and Hoopy, hes young, ambitious and has a personal goal to be our topscorer this season, which I personally think he will achieve comfortably.

Stokes needs to be loved and given a constant run in the starting 11.

  • Sean says:

aye your right we’ve missed forrest like a blind lumberjack wearing a ski mask.

  • Sean says:

p.s. When hes back he will be like a new signing and hopefully make maloney uncomfortable like a fart on a plane.
