Scott Brown: The Hatchet Job (In Picture Form)

|

I have now watched THAT sending off more times than it’s good for a sane man to do. In between seeing flashing coloured dots, purple badgers and an old scrot who looks like Ernie Walker screaming: “white cotton socks, 3 fir a paund”  I have upgraded Scott Brown status to “Total Idiot“.

That Facial Network Thingy should have those sort of status updates rather than boring and mundane ones you see. “Two sleeps until steak pie for dinner, yipee! Hope it has sausage in it.”  I hope it has arsenic in it.

As I type rumours are that Richard, Freddie and Robbie are being drafted in. Behave, that sounds more like a double room booking at a Tory Party conference than debutants in a Glasgow Derby*. We are also looking at Dwayne who is more Fresh Prince Of Fresh Air than Bel Air.

So depleted we are that Sammy returning from a virus is seen as a boost. Forgive me while I plan to drown in a sea of chemical pi$$ that will blot out any horror from 12:45pm onwards on Sunday.

Here’s Wednesday’s night ratings.

Double F, Bored.com, 2. Wilson, unnoticeable, 3. Danny, won headers, harshly booked, 4. Rogne, looked more experienced and vocal than his bald mate, 5. Lizzy, since Hoopers demise has looked Lennon’s gold nugget, 6.

Brown, Total Idiotic Pie Face, 0. Ledley, out-of-sorts, 1. Forrest, couldn’t see the wood for the trees, 1. Kapo, still looks like he would have rather been anywhere else than on the park, He screams permanently on trial at clubs, 1. McCourt, you and Lizzy make it bearable, 6. Kayal, came on to calm it down and added to the panic, 2.

Stokes, looks lost, problem is he isn’t being found, 2. Steptoe’s Horse, 0. McGinn, did nothing, which is nothing new in recent weeks, 0.

Haha. Absolutely laughable piece of writing. Scott Brown had a decent game on Wednesday night, closing down every ball and eager to get on it at every opportunity. As for the sending off it was almost as ridiculous as the piece you have just written.

Too much alcohol over the festive period I imagine.

I’m making comment that his overall game was blacked marked due to him being sent off for anyother one of his mad moments. The dash and charge towards the player saw him carry through no matter the slip. Why did he do it when the ref was itching to send a hoop off?

      Will he ever learn?

    • ozmick says:

“The dash and charge towards the player saw him carry through no matter the slip”

what type of clown are you exactly? that dash and charge began as an effort to close a player down and protect a very slender one goal lead. Players are allowed to get close to the opposition you know.
You are either a fucking diddy or a referee or both maybe.

      • lordofthewing says:

He slipped and caught the player. The motion before hand gave the impression that this is what he planned to do anyway. Hence the ref getting an excuse to send him off. That’s the whole point. His manner on this and numerous other occasions has got him into bother rightly or wrongly.

There is also a big difference between closing down and looking like your going to decapitate someone.

I’m a clown with big hands that scares weans. Still get work though.

        Happy new year.

I agree with Martin. Your blog can be so negative at times, whatever happened to faithful through and through?

  • Wullie says:

Never read so much pish in my life. Just admit it, you were not at the game and your an absolute pie.

You sound like a hun without yer bus fare

    • lordofthewing says:

I was at the game. My beef with brown is his moronic tendency to make himself an easy target. The beef with you is the Hun comment. Fucking lame and old hat.

  • davybhoyy says:

Anyone that has seen both Browns booking’s and agree’s that they were worthy of being sent off is either a moron or a hun, which one are you?

    • lordofthewing says:

Oh so thinking Broonie giving the ref an excuse to send him off makes me a Hun. Your lack of sense is commendable.

  • Gannonball says:

a second yellow for slipping and trying to pull out of a challenge, you honestly couldnt make it up.

    • lordofthewing says:

After charging 30 yards to slip. You saw the refs performance he was itching to send someone off. Broonie made it easy hence he is an idiot.

  • Stetz says:

With ‘fans’ writing opinion pieces like this, who needs the Huns.
Your summary of the game has all the cutting insight as your average half-pished half-wit down at the local boozer.
Keep putting the knife in, you’ll get a job at the Record soon.

  • DublinBhoy says:

Agree with the other comments. If wit were shit you would be constipated. Give it up lad and try knitting

  • lordofthewing says:

Strange that the Brown Defenders are here in force when on the other post match blog most say he was an arse.

    The bhoy is marmite.

  • Jay says:

I agree with you completely for the record, and I’m NO Hun!!! Although I don’t think that Brown should have been sent off, he continues to make decisions that leave the Refs calls open to interpretation! He has to be smarter, he must know they are looking for plays like that by now!? Especially with 1 yellow card already! Then again, Hoops fans have been saying this since he signed! What’s new? Wake up Scotty!!!

  • ianin440 says:

I think it is fair comment to say that the way Scott Brown went into the tackle gave the ref the excuse that he was looking for.
He was an innocent victim but a foolish one. It put a damper on the support as we left the stadium.
Anyway looking forward to 2011, hopefully Scott Brown will be a winning captain with his arms full of trophies.

  • Sean says:

Brown is over tenacious at times and refs, like they did with roy keane in the EPL, they look for him to be over zealous in a tackle or a shove and the cards cant come out any quicker.

I agree with LOTW, the ref was eager to send a celt off, so no need for the abhorrent visciousness from us bhoys fans to our own.

Respect opinions not disect our own dominion. I do say this in conclusion, if you take browns tenacity out of him you kill the cat as such, he is that sort of player, I would hate to play against him and love to have him in my side. Hes a trier!

  • Bhoy oh Bhoy says:

I agree that Brown has the brains of a slice of loaf, i agree that he gave the referee an excuse to book him, but it was NOT a yellow card offence! He rushed in, he tried to pull out of the challenge, momentum carried him through and his ‘victim’ collided with him and hurt himself when he finally hit the ground. Brown was wrong for mis-judging the tackle but no more. However, the ref was wrong for being a complete and utter tadger with all the trimmings by booking him…. after all, it was an HONEST MISTAKE by Brown!

    • lordofthewing says:

How many honest mistakes do you allow? Both parties were at fault in the incident but only one will get punished.

  • Bhoy oh Bhoy says:

I agree, they were both at fault but i stand by what i said- it wasn’t a yellow card offence in my opinion. The ‘blame’ for Brown getting sent off lies more with the ref than with Scott Broom. I wasn’t having a go, just sharing my humble opinion. Anyways, time to give my liver a right ol’ workout! Have a good one, all the best ¦-)

  • baxterboy says:

i hope freddie plays and any of the other new possibilities. fundamental coaching – no cohesion and no loyalty to backups…… recipe for disaster.

  • Damo Lennon says:

“Kapo, still looks like he would have rather been anywhere else than on the park, He screams permanently on trial at clubs, 1”

You obviously watched the match on Radio Clyde, because they said the same thing. Kapo was probably our best player until he had to go off.

At least we know where Radio Clyde are coming from.

    • lordofthewing says:

I can safely saw I didn’t watch the game on the wireless. I saw a player with a nervous touch, a look of shock and an urge to get off the park asap. Maybe I should grasp the hope that players we find wandering about the streets are gems and in the need of a break. It might improve my frowning.

      Happy New Year.

  • bobocop says:

Haven’t seen the incident, but if I was told a Celtic player had been ordered off I would always guess that it was Brown. The Rangers fans will be distraught as he’s a good bet to take an early walk. Club Captains should have fire in their bellies and big hearts, but they should have sound judgement and be able to set the right example. All those boxes have to be ticked. Does anyone out there really beleive that Scott Brown does that?

  • Gary says:

    Not very funny TBH

  • 'holic says:

Thinking of you today, big man. Mahoosive result. Great watch.

  • Dave says:

Brown should have been booked earlier in the match for kicking the ball away… His first yellow card was a totally reckless tackle, at the end of the day he took a player out by mistiming his tackle, was his time to go, could have been booked earlier anyway.
