Jos Embarrassed Now?

|

As news reaches us that Jos Hooiveld could be on the way FC Copenhagen on loan it’s the feeling of disappointment that is palatable.

True, when he has taken to the park there has been times when he has looked like a wardrobe on wheels and some certain wags have said he is the worse thing to come out of Sweden since Ikea.

The disappointment comes in that his character shone through long before we saw him play. He was everything we were missing. We all watched the Yous Tube and embraced his :”If he starts it, I’ll finish it” mantra. Even when he was struggling he was good copy.

That was entertainment. What must be disappointing for him is that our defence is currently made up of a Young Prince and someone who seems to be a blonde wig away from Glenda and resembles what I imagine Jean Luc Picard pleasure face to look like but with added tattoos.

The clean sheets don’t mask the gnawing feeling that we seem to be winging it on the defensive side. Plus we also seem great at defending our own corners.

I picture our centre backs as the hybrid of  Johans aggressions, the scoring prowess of Elliot and the leadership of Aitken. Jos last January gave me that hope.

I wonder if one of the coaching staff is feeling slightly disappointed and maybe embarrassed also?

Well cobbling is a very intricate and precise talent, so that could be took either way 😀

So I don’t see what you are getting at explain why it is “cobblers”?

The ‘I’ll win the league for Celtic’ headline was just more of the usual anti-Celtic laptop loyalist spin.
Jos explained it in an interview with CH67 a couple of weeks later.
Jos said he was being interviewd by a vary small pearochial radio station when at home in his small village of Zeijen in Holland.

The interviewer asked Jos how he felt about life at CP.
Jos told him he thought it was fantastic, he was made to feel at home and there was a good camaraderie at the club he felt part of.
To emphisise this he spoke about his great friendship with Gary Parker and that he and “Parky” would always be having a bit of good humoured banter,
He told the interviewer that Garry had been giving him a friendly dig about not getting picked for the 1st team and that he had shouted back, something along the lines of, ‘yeah, but if I get a game we’ll win the league’.
Typical changing room banter one would think, and big Jos trying to demonstrate just what a great club Celtic is to play for and what a great friendly culture there is at CP.

That is until the cold bitter hand of the laptop lickspitles got hold of it!

Ach, the truth is boring. I hear he shouted it in the middle of Toys R Us in the Forge while buying Doctor Who figures.

  • Peter says:

Jos once sold me a dud second hand car claiming it belonged to talking cat, i like the fool i am didnt believe him and proceeded to take more acid. Wheres am i?

    Worst blog ever.

    “Ach, the truth is boring.”

Note to self: steer well clear of this drivel in future.

I like a man that takes responsibility for his browsing. Though the claim of worst blog ever is a bit harsh. You obviously don’t visit here often.

Like the moniker. Your carer and drug councillor must be so proud.

    More negative bollocks.
    The tabloids are calling you.

    • lordofthewing says:

My phone is not ringing. Maybe since you seem to know what the tabloids want then you can give me some tips?

Plus, negative? Pointing out that I’m disappointed that a signing failed and that, like our manager, feel that our defence is one step away from disaster. Hence us signing Kelvin Davis and trying to get someone in this window.

  • max says:

‘The truth is boring’, that must be like a conversation down the ludge when they’re discussing TFS, BJK, Manchester, Chelsea suporters, red hand salutes, rangers sectarian signing policy, wattie winning 9iar………..etc…….etc…………etc!

  • max says:

So you think ‘wattie’ won 9iar??

  • max says:

I think the Beast might have something to say about that!!!
