The Question That Remains Unanswered

|

That was unexpected. A major turning point? Who knows but we are going to enjoy it anyway. Lennon seemingly spoke to Gordon Strachan yesterday about Samaras in the loan striker role. I’m now really struggling as to who to give the credit for today’s victory.

The annoying thing is, we know Samaras can do what he did today. The problem is it’s very rare that he does it. Today saw the bizarre sight of Paddy McCourt hassling and winning tackles at the edge of his own box and our manager appearing in a Tv studio 10 minutes after the final whistle. Plus we won a meaningful game with Lennon in charge.

I’m too drunk for any in-depth psychoanalysis of that.

I’d just like to say I thought Paddy had immense games both today and midweek 😀

The lads that shone for me today (The whole team was good but the shining lights in the great performance).

Kayal = Brutally did a great job

Mulgrew = Grew a pair today.I think whatever Lenny said to him plus the slap off Hagrid Boogie-era he received fired him on. Impressive delivery.

Samaras = Led the line beautifully. Great rounding of Alan “Ride the peroxide” McGregor and finished cool as a cucumber.

Super Paddy Mac = Excellent to watch picked at the rangers backline a few times, even though it wasnt his best game, he looked like our only creative spark at times.

Mr Ledley = Just for that beautiful, amazing pass to Sami. Class in a glass pass.

All in all great performance from a make shift side really.

No surprise that Sammy is decent nor none that strachan has a footballing brain. Thought paddy was excellent in the role just in front of the rangers defense, and I’d personally like to see us keep Sammy, get a striker such as , a solid centerback and a left back, and put some money down on a keeper not a loaner, we should punt loovens and loan out crosas but we need nothing more in midfield as we have the strength and depth in most areas just an inexperienced manager still finding his way. Whether or not he Will find his way is up for debate, i’d not be risking further humiliation in Europe next year and I’d bring in strachan now, he has the intelligence and understanding to work well within the role and I think it would suit all parties as I can’t see strachan returning to management.

    • lordofthewing says:

A left back? U really sure?

      • Jbhoy says:

I’ve got we want a left back saved on a special cut and paste ive used it that often in the last 5 years… I honestly can’t remember when we had a decent one…

        • lordofthewing says:

Ha cut and paste. Lizzy can work the whole lefthandside himself against certain teams.

  • Jbhoy says:

Chuffin iPhones… Keane is the striker we need and strachan should be director of football.

  • Jbhoy says:

I’m of course after a back up for izzy… Who is now a left mid…

When we are up we worry about being down and when we`re down we worry about things getting worse. At least I got a decent sleep. Bring on the Berwick! 🙂

i just want to get this out the way, yes it was a bril game but for me it was also torture to see samaras play like because everyones now going to want to keep him but just let me remind u this only happen like once every 7-8 weeks and on the games he doesn’t play like that 9/10 he is s**t.

and can i just ask what everyones starting line up would be because lennon annoys me on how he doesnt play juarez:

    foster
    juarez/cha majstorivic rogne izaguirre
    jaurez/forrest kayal ledley mccourt
    maloney
    hooper

    lunjberg is not aloud yet

    MON THE HOOPS!!!

    • Jbhoy says:

samaras is 25 for feck sake, he’s got magic in his boots and he just needs some love and attention to keep his wand waving. He’s a man that loves celtic and wants to stay, he knows the criticism levied at him one of which was last season that he was easily bullied off the ball, he’s improved this aspect of his game so much and the lad wants to improve further, he can change a game in an instant, those types of players are rare. Its upto the manager to get the best out his players, just look at what some people thought of Petrov, Agathe, Petta…

    • lordofthewing says:

My take on Sammy is this. A decent offer then we should consider it. There is no denying he is one of the best players in the squad but 1 decent performance in 5 is the fact. His first goals in the league since march is another stat to consider.

3 managers haven’t worked out how to make him the Sunday player all the time.

Juarez is a puzzle but I was pleased to see his celebrations. He seems to feel part of the team.
