Morning.

There is a half ar$ed cartoon here. I’m leaving it as it’s testament to a good day. There seems to be little controversy report. It seems that the spat between Lennon and Halfwittery is being counted as newsworthy and even though all other news outlets are reporting an impeccable silence some are reporting synchronised coughing as a crime.

morning lads, Geordie fan here, sorry to hijack your blog but just wanted to know what yous think of big Fraser, how’s he been playing this season and how do you think his future looks?
    Cheers

Great shot stopper but for a guy that’s 6 foot 7 he doesn’t come off his line enough and is not as vocal as a keeper should be. That’s being uber critical though.

    Sean Reply:

In addition to what Mr LOTW said I reckon his future is bright for a youngster and he has shown progression:-

For example his goal-kicking in his first old firm game was below average and compare that to the 2-0 win. He has come on in leaps and bounds and found Big Sammys head on well more than one occasion with his kicks.

That is what you want to see – progression.

Is Leckie the most chewed up bitter wee ‘journo’ in Scotland? After today’s article, he’ll take some beating. Wouldnae mind beating him masel right enough.
No mention of the venomous famine song
screamed at us after only four minutes. Thanks for the unbiased reporting once again.
Our day is coming, watch out!

LOTW: As Leckie writes most of Follow Follow’s stuff…it’s not surprising…..
But you’d think a St.Mirren supporter would be more balanced and impartial in his views…
This fud is a dick…just to confound medical science!!

Voted for Samaras but special praise to the way we defended as a team.

I watched the match again when I got home from the pub as you never get a proper view of the game with emotion running high etc. On second viewing(and probably first) it was obvious how well we defended. Kayal and Ledley pressing in midfield and Big Dan and Rogne getting a head or a foot on to every ball, every cross or corner, something which we characteristically haven’t done.

I was a very proud Celtic fan watching that performance, they gave everything for the win!

Rogne read every single cross into the box, he looks a keeper. Kayal just looked a wee pain to play against. Broonie should take note.

Thought Rogne was superb with special mentions for Kayal, Mulgrew and Paddy.

Kayal is a nippy wee git but unlike Brown looks like he’s got some brains to go with it, unlucky wi’ a couple of long range efforts as well.

If only the fat Boogie Man had slapped Mulgrew in pre-season, things could have been so different.

Wish I was as unfit as Paddy.

    Magic day.

When I first saw the Leckie article, I thought it was a joke. I saw it on the HB and other posters were offering up their creative ideas of what the headlines would be in the papers tomorrow. I thought it was another joke article. Well, I guess it still is, but in a completely different way.

Picked Kayal as the MOTM, but could have gone to Sammy obviously, or Big Dan or Rogne. Great performances all around yesterday.

Leckies article has the tone of a hurting Hun who was expecting Celtic to fail on and off the park. He is a fucking rimspittle….

“Shocker, Dirty fenian blogger coughs a response….in a terrorist tone”

All I can say what is the bloody world coming to when coughing can be seen as disrespectful. Its not as if somebody shouted anything sinister but targeting the Celtic Coffers….for fuck sake….get a grip Leckie…cos I think a few people would like to get a grip on you after that article…

You have to love when the media hurt like this. They look for anything they may be able to turn into a discreditation of Celtic and the fans. They, like Dallas are a cancer in the Scottish game. Oh, wait a minute! Dallas has been kicked out! Silly me! Great performance guys, Kayal was immense.

I agree,Celtic played superbly. Kayal was immense.
Samaras played a blinder.Just great 3-points in the bag.But I’ve read comments about the Ref having a good unbiased game.A game without “Honest
Mistakes” Bougherra blatantly brought down Samarras in the box.He should have got a second
yellow and sent off!He had a great chance to pull
one back with ten minutes to go. What would your
reaction be had he scored?Weiss performed
simulated dives three times without being booked.
Fair Ref? Forget it!! We won without his “Fare
    Play”

    It was a second booking.

I have e-mailed Sportscene to ask for an analysis and discussion of the Ref’s failure to second yellow Bougherra at the penalty….can’t wait…

Haven’t read the Daily Rebel since my team got fairly and squarely beaten so haven’t seen the comments by Leckie, or anybody else. I watched the match on the box and thought the celtic fans behaviour was a credit to their club. The silence was observed and I didn’t hear any coughing. I’m sure had anything untoward occurred some of my more rabid mates would have told me, but, nothing doing.
    Respect to the hoops.
Rangers started the better side but couldn’t force a lead. The ‘tic worked themselves into the game and , without dominating, did not look like losing a goal. Madness from MacGregor gifted the first goal and good work from Samaras forced the penalty. Although he converted the penalty he was done out of the chance for a candidate for goal of the season. Should Boughy have walked? don’t think so. He wasn’t last man and the penalty was drawn by good play. He didn’t hack the man down, try to injure him or tackle from behind. No protestations of innocence,no arguing with officials from Boughy, who knew he was beaten. And to be fair no theatrical triple rolls from Samaras or Celtic players running to the ref waving imaginary red cards.
So C’mon guys, forget all the chucky arlas (no non tim can actually spell it right,so I wont try). Just enjoy the deserved win and bask in the unexpected glow of triumph.

I think McShagger panic at Weir being isolated and charged out the goal. Cheers for the comments though it was second booking….

  • bobocop Says:

MacGregor’s a good keeper, but prone to rashness. I doubt if he considered Weirs lack of pace. Would it have been a booking outside the box? No chance, it was an honest challenge mistimed because of the skill of the player. I doubt if anyone was more surprised than the Celtic support.
