Celtic Ratings Valentines Day Special

|

Fraser Forster –  Big Fraser got very dirty doing not an awful lot yesterday, despite a very lonely first half he produced a fine stop from David Goodwillie to keep the score at 2-1, deserves a bath set and a box of milk tray.

Mark Wilson – Excellent display from the now number one Celtic right back, started and finished an excellent move resulting in Celtic’s second goal, booked for Celebrating then let off with a rash challenge, so despite only committing one foul everyone seems to be asking why he wasn’t sent off, so for the fun of it, Mark gets a Valentines Day card directed to a very naughty bhoy.

Daniel Majstorovic – Commanding, solid, leading, devestating, and also a goal for big Dan as he again proved the doubters wrong with a calm and collected display, header sealed the win and the big swede will be looking forward to his date with the other mob next week. Box of Quality Street and Love Actually DVD for the big chap.

Charlie Mulgrew – Excellent display, who was this guy kidding when he said he was a left back? Without using the Rangers media term of ‘like a new signing’ but Chico is certainly a terrific option now at centre half, never looks fazed and wants to play from the back, more of the same next week please Chazza. Packet of Haribo and a bottle of wine for Charlie.

Emilio Izaguire – Looks the part, doesn’t matter if its in the Parkhead sunshine or the Tannadice mudbath Emilio looks like hes at home and never looks flustered. Pass move pass move and Celtic are up the park, its that easy for Izaguire, excellent in defence aswell and will certainly relish next weeks clash. Enrique CD and a bottle of Latin America’s finest for our player of the year.

Scott Brown – Another driving performance from our skipper as he gets back to his best form and probably over done it leading to a slight knock which ended his match early, Skoosh will need to be up for it next week as his battle with Diouf starts over again so with that in mind a spa day for Skoosh is in order.

Beram Kayal – Sensational isn’t high enough praise for our combative midfielder, Rangers have two midfielders, one is McCulloch for the ball winning, the other is Davis for the ball playing, Kayal can do both better than the other two and is by far the best midfielder in Scotland, delivered two excellent challenges in the Second half when United were breaking away and above all showed why he won January’s player of the month. Boquet of Flowers and a ticket for Michael Buble.

Joe Ledley – My oh my, what a player we have here. Our Welsh dragon seems to get better every game he plays and was by far the most outstanding player on the pitch yesterday. Battled for every ball and was never shy in looking for possession and managed to play football on the sodden pitch, a terrific display from our quiet unsung hero, Its been a while since Joe scored to a babysitter for the wean and 2 tickets to the pictures for Joe and his good lady are in order here.

Kris Commons – Looks like he’s been in that team all year long, 4th game in a hoops jersey and already he’s having a massive influence on the team, supplied a terrific ball for Stokes who mis-cued in the first half and battled away at getting the ball done and taking it for a run despite the terrible pitch, its a joy to see him in the Celtic shirt . Deserves the sex in the city boxset and a box of hankies for his efforts.

Anthony Stokes – game by game this lad is having a greater deal of influence on our title challenge, starting to really make things happen alongside Hooper and, via a deflection, added to his impressive goal tally, it is great to see someone like Stokes who can link up well and score a few goals playing in this team, hopefully, if selected ofcourse, he can make his mark against the bad mob. UB40 Album and a cocktail set for our bhoy.

Gary Hooper – Is it just me or does Hooper have his best games when he doesn’t score? Hooper is a terrific striker and it appears the only person who can stop him from putting the ball in the back of the net is himself! Very unlucky not to have added to his goal tally but added to his popularity with another great showing. Deserves a massive bunch of flowers and a chocolate heart from Thortons

Great post. The pitch was pish but we always looked like pumpin em.

    You forgot about Peter Houston:-

Depressive, unemotive, droopy faced sidekick of Levein, unimpressive managerial display. Told his players to do a great impression of a hoard of the undead. Said Celtic are very lucky.

Valentines day will be a pot noodle and a wank for Houston.

I listened to the match on Radio Scotland and Joe Ledley was my MOTM.
Tiger Woods wasn`t so bad on radio either. 🙂
