thecelticblog awakes to find it’s summertime, that Mulgrewuer and Glenda kept a clean sheet and our manager was sent to sit behind the dug out. Time to crack open the ginger beer to celebrate the return of good times eh?
Seemingly we played a friendly in Bilbao last night. The was to raise funds for 160 youth teams in the Basque region or – as some delusional ‘people’ think – to cement the “IRA and Basque murderers appreciation society“.
The ‘hacks‘ will be agog at the thought that they will be able to type and muse that Lennon is ‘unhinged‘, ‘off-the-rails‘ and a ‘disgrace‘ after he was sent to the stand in the 35th minute of the match. The incident was describe by the man himself as “Ref over fussy as I disputed a f kick….anyway we played some scintillating stuff against a class side and we should have won” via Twitter as his old skool media blackout continues.
Without seeing the incident, so truthful comment or opinion is rendered pointless – bit like most of the comment and opinion on this site all the time anyway -I really don’t give a flying monkey nut what he was sent to the stand for in a friendly game. Anyone who does should phone Radio Snide to complain they will love your call.

The lesser spotted rare Swedish bird, Fredrick Ljunberg, was seen in northern Spain last night. According to reports, ‘illness and injury‘ and not ‘past it‘ has been the reason he hasn’t featured. He wants a new deal. Judging by last nights team picture he was old enough to be some of the players Dad’s and seems to be looking on proudly.

Daryl Murphy was the CelticFC.net MOTM!
Bring on the Senkies!
I quite fancy visiting Northern Spain sometime. How come the Spanish people in my wife`s work (Scottish Power now owned by Iberdrola)come from Bilbao and support Real Madrid? Also where do they get the smelly fish they cook at lunchtime?
These are PROPER questions!

That smelly fish question has to be answered. Plus why do they sell beer in fish shops?

I thought that Rogne was with the Norway team but he must be injured because I`m sure that I saw him at Braehead yesterday is a ridiculously expensive looking car.

What we really want to know though is this…
Where do you buy those green shorts that match the green jersey?! That’s how the strip should have looked from day one, not with the black shorts as they sell them in the Celtic shop.
They did tell us it was inspired by 1986 after all. We didn’t wear black shorts at Love Street. And in keeping with that, the game at St Mirren this season was the first (and only other) time we wore these green shorts too.

[...] the news feeds have been full of regurgitated quotes from Lennon’s official twitter, as quoted here yesterday, and most takes on the incidents seem remarkably similar, word for word [...]
