Spreedom of feech

|

I conduct my words-worth every week, I obviously do have a natural incline towards Celtic, I hold my hands up, yep I am a Celtic fan but this does not mean I promote bigotry or condone that we all conduct violence against our rivals.

What I do try and state in my blogs are my views, which in essence is the ‘freedom’ of what I say but even then I know there are boundaries and lines that should not be crossed, boundaries of the complete and simply stupid and utterly neanderthal.

I know we all love to show bitterness towards our rivals, we all know our history, we know the extensive circumstances that have come into play especially when politics and parliaments are mentioned, we all know the divides and picket lines, what sides we are on and why, we all know where we stand and what we stand for, but on a footballing sense all the above aside, I know that’s hard to put aside, but on a footballing level we are just merely “Different tribes” that have a rivalry so dense and thick, that it surpasses any rivalry whispered in the same sentence as it.

The best quote about the rivalry does not come from a prophet, it does not come from a philosopher or even a politician, it does not come from a representative from our illustrious club but it was said by the “Big Yin” himself Billy Connolly.

A fan heckled him whilst on tour,  when he mentioned he went to watch Celtic, he received a heckle from a gers fan, Billy jokingly and spokenly sparred with the heckler with a few choice words but his conclusion to the matter was “Its like a disease man, I have it for one team you have it for another”.

A rivalry that goes so deep that it can be seen as “A disease”, I think that is really something, that is can be deemed a disease, football can mean so much to people that they will sell household items, even work that extra shift for the “reddies” to buy a ticket or travel fare.

It is ok sitting in your velvet parliament seat, but condensing all the issues caused by our opposition lately down to a few key bullet points that indulges in domestic violence being the main point is obnoxious and ignorant to the real issues, yes there will always be a rivalry between the sides but no matter how many summits you have to try and ‘tackle’ the issues, the real issues are that one team has been shown extensive favouritism over another, for example the ban firstly received for Lennon’s first offence as a manager compared with McCoists, is quite extraordinary.

Its ok to say its not our fault but the real issues still lie, why have we been mistreated as a club and as fans?

Now us bloggers will be mistreated as well for our own freedom of speech, we are deemed to be one of the ‘petrol covered sticks’ poking the bigotry ‘fire’. This circle of doom keeps spinning but when will it stop and be sorted out fully. Those in command need to get a set of round hairy ones and deal with the real issues in Scottish football and the SPL.

Case dismissed is the answer from the suited and booted, as it will be always because now we are being labelled as part of the problem effecting the bigger picture. Alex Salmond thanks for the £500,000 but sorry to say that droplet will not cleanse the sea of problems in front of you, start at home is what I say SPL and SFA.

Inverness anybody?

We have never set up groups or petitions to shoot opposing managers but we have seen the ‘power’ this week of a few misguided fools who invent something to be offended over.

How will they police on-line? Wait for compliants or just target things that are obviously wrong?

This site/blog/organ/waste of pixels doesn’t take itself seriously or think anything I’d too precious to be fair game for ridicule. It comes with a sense of humour.

In this nanny state that will probably be banned.

I cringe when I hear, `Cheer up Walter Smith….`, `Stand up if you HATE….` and the chanting at goalkeeper McGregor.
It would be nice if these stopped when our Bhoys are playing the other chaps.
As for bloggers being under scrutiny, you fellows are cool. 🙂
