A Cartoon Of Press Hypocrisy

|

“It’s just another chapter in what has been a tumultuous 10 years regarding things away from football,” “I never envisaged coming here would create such hatred for myself or my persona as it has done. I don’t know what it is that brings the worst out in people when it comes to myself.”

Neil Lennon yesterday muttered those words, which were lapped up by the press. His ‘persona’ has been created and abused by them. The above photoshop shows the general feeling how they treat the issue. The bottom line is they have sales to keep up and highlighting a subject that a large proportion of their readership indulge in meant that it was ignored or actively encourage.

This week the nailbomb sent to The Ginger Guardiola caused ‘outrage‘, ‘bemusement‘ and ‘sympathy‘ from the worldwide press. The laughable world of the Scottish hack decided to follow suit.

The problem is they already have ‘blood on their hands’. It’s just banter thought, anit it?

It’s is shocking how the Scottish media behave although the truth is out there just not printed in this backwater.

I have read reports from all over the world this week and thankfully they are not written with the agenda we have to put up with on these shores.

Here is a quote from an American publication called “Foreign Policy” a good article called “bloody Sunday by Alex Masse” well worth a read

“The Scottish press, keen to avoid accusations of bias, often adopts an ecumenical, bipartisan approach to handing out blame.”

I’ve stopped buying any of the above publications a long time ago and would everyone else to do so.

It’s amazing that others see right through the press in this country and when we point it out we are called paranoid.

The most galling thing is surely the subsequent focus on the R*ngers hierarchy supposedly being at risk. I assume there’s some information/a threat received to back this up but for it to usurp stories of those linked to Celtic ACTUALLY BEING SENT BOMBS WHICH WERE INTERCEPTED is scandalous.

Perhaps also Paul McBride can put the SFA on the back burner for the time being and get the media in court over the constant references to “The Old F*rm” and “sectarianism in the west of Scotland”. There’s few clubs and sets of fans less associated with each other than those of Celtic & R*ngers so why should anything that goes on be laid at the door of both clubs? If R*ngers or R*ngers fans are at fault then castigate them, if Celtic are at fault then we’ll take that on the chin, but we’ve had more than enough of being lumped together.

In the debate on Radio Hootsmon they never mentioned Hearts once. It was shocking stuff.

Yep, ‘tic fans are perfect. No offensive banners or singing from us. No Shouting and using sweary words from our cultured lads. No aping about, no insults relating to race, religion or colour. We don’t throw bananas, although we have unfortunately dropped some horizontally onto the field of play. We only insult people in a personal way which can only cause hurt to them and their families. And you definitely wont find any gunmen or bombers amongst our fans.

The Walters Incident. Rangers Lisbon in ‘whitabootery’.

if a celtic fan threw a banana at player these days he would be lucky to get out of the stadium with his head on his shoulders.

Balance is a wonderful thing LOTW. It should be encouraged.

  • rfc+sfa=cheats says:

rangers didn’t do a very good balancing their books
