Just Keeping Winning Celtic

|

Hey Sports Fans! Whats happened in the last week? We’ve had a game against ICT postponed, witnessed Rangers lose at home then go top with playing a game more, Steven Naismith seemed to think that was the title won for Rangers until Wednesday night when Celtic beat Hibs 3-1 and reclaimed top spot in the SPL.

And on this Grand-National Saturday Celtic will host St.Mirren with the chance to go 5 points clear of Rangers, who play Hamilton on Sunday. Am I being ever the optimist? or I am right in saying if Celtic beat St.Mirren tomorrow then Hamilton will have something extra to play for on Sunday in their relegation battle? Maybe, but when Billy Reid has come out and said relegation might be the best thing to happen to his team, 2 days before he takes on his beloved Rangers, suggests we’ll see 7 youth team players and 4 players returning from injury taking field to play Rangers.

So back to Celtic and their task on Saturday, home banker perhaps? Nothing is easy in April and right now I’d take a 1-0 win coming off a sclaffy Hooper shot which the keeper headers in. Honestly, its a results driven business and in April there is no time to phone up radio clyde if the game only finishes 1-0. If Celtic are 5 points clear of Rangers by the time I’ve collected my grand national winnings then I’ll be a very happy man indeed.

We should have ended Rangers’ season in February never mind March and the fact they are still even in contention to win the title is one of the biggest footballing injustices ever. We are such a likeable team to watch with likable characters in the team and the dugout, but that counts for nothing now. It was nice to be nice earlier but now its the business end of the season and Celtic must be up for it. Neil Lennon returns to the dugout and he should bring the same ruthless streak he’s shown when it comes to the media. NO Celtic player should be giving the media any opportunity to use the phrase ‘that’ll be going on the Rangers notice board’ We shouldn’t be trying to be Steven Naismith he’s a diving dirty fairy-like wee poofy ora…oh wait, Alex Salmond might be reading, a very likeable young fellow is wee naisy.

So Celtic, with only a handful of games to go, show this whole corrupt country we are Celtic and no matter who or what stands in our way, we will be Champions come the end of May.

Hail Hail

A win is important, last home game before the split. Naismith is a wee cock. That’s what Weiss says anyway.

any win will do bhoys! a couple of early goals like in the hibs game would be FANTASTIC but probably too much to ask for! as long as the bhoys show due respect to st mirren and play well it should be 3 points. hail hail
