Samaras Blows A Goalden Chance, Lennon ‘Ear-Gate’and Smith ‘Pen-gate’

Rag – Cel MISSED PENALTY www.rojadirecta.es by kehl3

It’s hard to shake the feeling of disappointment that today was an opportunity lost. Only a Greek Tragedy stopped us putting in an order for the commemorative ‘champions‘ tea-towels.

Only post-match did any sort of controversy arise. Lennon commenced what will be known as ‘ear-gate‘ and Smith accused Celtic of pressurising the referee into ensuring the big decisions went our way. Off the big decisions today my take is this.

Ledley v Belgravia Centres Top Model. No Pen. Correct decision.

Stokes v Chesney. Penalty. Wrong decision.

Stokes v Fleckadinho, No pen and Stokes booked for diving. Wrong decision.

Interviews with our Glorious Leader – plus ‘ear-gate‘ at the end of the interview and The Myth below.

Remember kids, cupping your ear is not a crime.

Rangers were the better team today.
Do you really believe that’s the way a Celtic manager should behave? The letter bombs are obviously beyond the pale but if a man acts like a pratt then it makes him a pratt. Lennon needs to grow up.

Rangers better for the first half never laid a glove on us in the last half hour in a game that was more important they won.

I’m willing to take the banter route. If you are willing to attack a man or player verbally about his religion, gingerness and his lack of freedom due to fellow fans penchant for dodgy post then your fair game for banter back.

      Reset your moral compass.

Looks like I`ll never see the incident where Stokes was booked. It wasn`t on BBC website.:-(
Anyway I think if Sammy had scored they would have equalised. On to the next game.
    Come on Celtic!

I would like to know peoples views on the lazy Greek (Samaras) i live in London these days and don`t see as many Celtic games as i used to, But every time i see him playing he is F*%king useless ( and i`m being kind here) he doesn’t chase back or run forward very often for that matter! Can`t score and looks disinterested on most occasions. Someone please explain why he got a new contract recently, as he looks a liability to me.

Your not the only one who feels we have been sold a pup. He’s to airy fairy and unreliable.

bobocop……. what are you talking about? mr lennon acted like a pratt? for cupping his ears to a baying mob screaming abuse at him? the 40,000 pratts singing WHATS IT LIKE TO LIVE IN FEAR and then cried to the police about how offended they were by mr lennon cupping his ears are the pratts. and thats being kind to them. not to mention the few thousand racist human toilets singing the famine song. NEIL LENNON = LEGEND

  • bobocop says:

Football fans of every club seem to think that they are entitled to scream abuse because they’ve paid to get in. We’ve all seen the close-ups of the clowns from every club making obscene gestures at players as they line up a throw-in or corner. This has been wrongly tolerated by everyone and is now almost impossible to stamp out and, as always happens, only gets worse.
Light hearted banter is desirable in any sport but Lennon was not in any way being light-hearted. The fans abuse would no doubt be of the most foul-mouthed variety but Lennon should have ignored it and shown he was bigger than that. As it is, a man who requires police protection decides to wind up those who threaten him. How stupid is that. Management and officials should show a good example, but that is patently beyond Lennon at his current stage of development.
There’s no need for a re-adjustment of a moral compass. Large sections of fans from the largest senior clubs right down to junior levels think its alright to hurl abuse. Any sensible person knows the best thing to do is to ignore the morons and not get drawn in.
I can understand Celtic fans support for Lennon, especially in the light of recent events, but that doesn’t excuse his actions. I can’t think that the Celtic board will see it as clever or funny.

All this amatuer pscohology by the press and fans, most of whom will be foul mouthed out of date loafs is the problem. Time for folk to get a life and see banter for what it is and bigotry and hatrid for what it is.

Actually, all cunts just need to get a life.

  • rfc+sfa=cheats says:

bobocop…. yes every set of fans abuses players, club staff and rival fans, this is in no way whatsoever the same as vile racial, sectarian hatred being aimed at people. there is no similarly between calling a player a w@#ker and calling someone a black/irish/muslim b@&stard who should “go home”! only the people shouting such sick hatred seem to believe there is a similarly, the rest of the world knows exactly why its different and dont even need to think about it to know the difference as its just so blatantly obvious to all right minded people. should lennon have slunk off with his head down for the fans singing “what’s it like to live in fear”? their sick taunts about mr lennons attempted murder and the fact BOMBS were sent to his home where his CHILDREN live deserve nothing but the contempt given by mr lennon. why on earth should he not stand tall and defiant in the face of these cowardly evil animals, ONE NEIL LENNON – WE STAND WITH YOU!
