The Good, The Bad, The Ugly Of The Marnocks

|

First one of these for a couple of weeks. Well, it’s squeaky bum time.

The Good

The cup was a welcome distraction but it’s time to ride the emotionally charge beast down the final straight and hopefully the old hag won’t collapse until after the season has finished.

I’m really fed wondering how it’s all going to pan out, if we are going to turn up or if we are going to wallow in sticky smelly stuff. I’m glad it’s league duty and the cup can be left as an after thought. I just want these games done and dusted. It’s the hope that kills.

The return of Danny. He has his limitations, he is the ‘seasoned journeyman’ and nothing more but he is the father of this team and his return is crucial. Jellyandicecreamvic bullied our back line in the last outing. Apart from a few goals he has failed to do so to any patchwork quilt full of rice krispies since. Danny makes us a different animal.

The Bad

Joe Ledley being injured is not good. This means that Lennon has to consider the urge to move Scott Brown inside. I would go for Ki and resist the urge to play two wide men.
Since Mixu left The Marnocks I haven’t got a clue who their manager is. I haven’t been paying any attention and they could be managed by an elite team of beauty therapists, masseuse and dancing girls for all I know. Either that they are managed by some faceless backroomer who is making noises that he wants the job full time.

I feel that this lack of respect is dangerous as only an own goal at Ipox inflicted their only defeat in 5 games.

The Ugly

Defeat or dropped points would be ugly. With my prediction that it may take over 90 points to win this league then any dropped points are as dangerous as leaked radiation.
Defeat is not to be feared. If we play the game that we want to play then defeat is sometimes possible if who you face are lucky enough on the day. Dropped points because we don’t turn up would be like air being let out a balloon and a long drawn out farting noise being exhaled.

I was talking to a Dundee United fan this morning and he painted a bleak picture of all bar Celtic and Ra*ngers having nothing to play for post split (Hearts finish 3rd then playing kids, Killie happy to be in the top 6, Dundee United happy in fourth and Motherwell praying that we win the league and looking forward to a cup final). If this is the case then the over 90 points target is a must.

    Yep!
    Come on the Celts!
Respect to Kenny Shiels who has taken over at Kilmarnock.
It will be difficult but I take the Celts to win it!
