5 Facts, Findings And Thoughts From A Season We Got Our Celtic Back.

|

1) We ended up with more points than we have had in the last 6 seasons. We took one of the most expensively assembled sides seen in Scotland to the last day (whom we may have to admit are not as bad as we like to make out). This was all when we are still in the middle of rebuilding. Our results against the lesser clubs show that sellotape we used wasn’t strong enough to see us over the line.

Next season though.

2) A ‘rookie manager‘ took an ‘auld master‘ -who if the meeja are to be believed should be looked at the same glowing terms as Stein, Ferguson, Shankley and Jose – to the final game and finished one point behind. Can you imagine any other league in the world that the press and nearly the whole country would be trying to chase one of it’s brightest young coaching talents from it’s door?

3) The FEAR. This season has seen bullets, nail bombs and assaults used as legitimate tactics in the race for the flag. It’s hard not to think that apart from a deep rooted pot noodleness of those doing this stuff they also feared losing to us. The fact, that they would stoop so low it’s a compliment to WHAT the gaffer was doing.

This also saw the return of sewer rat behavior that was reconsigned by EUFA. It saw this behavior blamed on us from all quarters. Their superiority complex is under threat. Long may it continue.

4) We were no longer going to take it on the chin. This season saw us take on the SFA and win. It’s been proved that it’s not fit for purpose. Scottish football will thank us in the long term. Aye, right. I look at the decision not to ban Brown, Bougherra and McCoist as a last ‘v’ sign from a dying beast.

5) The Football. A look about Celtic Park and you will see the return of player names on the jerseys. Kids and some adults – that should really know better – look at the team and see heroes, they see players that are giving 100% and look like they want to play for the club. The football we have played has been mainly mouthwatering. The players and manager brought the thunder back. De-Strachanisation and De-Moggafication is complete.

Our Celtic are back.

Has anybody in the SFA , SPL ,SNP or even in SCOTLAND apologized to our gaffer yet?

    SAY SORRY TO LENNY

    • I am still not convinced that Lennon is mature enough to lead the team. Maybe we did blow the leagues in the Caley game but I think if we had not played so conservatively aginst Rangers in the 0-0 tie, that would have won the league for us. Remember that we did not even win the league cup. Lennon has made some excellent transfers, maybe too many of them. I would keep him as a scout but not the manager…not just yet. Let him mature a bit first.

Do you think any of the others that were linked to us last season could had done what Lenny did?

This league season more than from a number of years the margin for error was so slim the mistakes made are magnified. He ended up with enough points to win the league anytime in the last 6 seasons. Lost a cup final in extra time. He owned our rivals in the league.

All while having to bring in many players.

Would liked to have seen a Pardew or a Grant doing that.

Why should I say sorry to Lenny?

Because you think flying an Irish flag is racist you should apologise to humanity.

  • john west Belfast says:

Don,t know if its allowed but wouldnt it be great if every player wore Lennon on the back of their jerseys instead of their own name

  • john west Belfast says:
