1) We hit the ground running and I’m so glad that all these money making friendlies are over and it’s bare knuckle hand to hand combat time. Oh……

2) Our knack of missing spot kicks is now getting an art form to be admired. Doesn’t matter who steps up they just look like they want the ground to swallow them. Hooper telegraphed where he was putting his. Thought the keeper was almost up Leith Walk to Princess Street when he took the kick.

I’ll make a shout for the sweetest and most comfortable striker of the ball to take them. Ki Sung Yeung.
3) Commons has been the makeweight in Scott Browns absence. He’s been placed in alien territory on the right and him and Mark Wilson look like they have just meet face to face after weeks of flirting on Skoosh.

The other noticeable thing was that he was doubled up on everytime he got the ball. This could be a difficult season for Kris.

4) It was nice to see Hibs promoting Sexual Heath Awareness by advertising the most commonly found STD that the young folk in Leith have. Seemingly it is on the decrease now Riordon’s left….

5) Andy Webster. Does he share the same therapist as Shaun Maloney and is that therapist Theo Snelders?

      Larsson scores at Ibrox…..

I better not post a link to the goal. I maybe termed as an obsessive hater.

Hibs doubled up on the left side as well – I think that had a lot to do with Izzy having a quieter than usual game as well. Ledley seemed to come into the middle more which helped him get noticed.

I thought it was interesting that Forrest looked a lot more lively when he came on for Commons though. Dunno if that had something to do with the Hibs players tiring though.

Even the most backward of manager will have noticed our threat from the wings. They will double up. We may need to change shape. I would put Commons up top in a 4-3-3.

I think Commons is twice as effective on the left and Forest does well on the right.

      • lordofthewing says:

Can’t play both of them in any away games. It’s one or the other.

        • bhoylondon67 says:

Broony on the right, Forest can do a job there if Broony is out or needed to cover in the middle, the left side has to be held by Commons regardless of who is out etc imo.

Also i gotta say, as useless as Sally appears i think it’s an unfair compliment to Rangers to say Sally and Whyte are solely responsible for how poor Rangers look right now, Rangers have been s#ite for a decade, yes Walter Myth squeezed that extra bit from the players that other managers might not have but the reality is “honest mistakes” and the SFA are the main reason they have won most of the trophies in the last 10 years or so. Mowbray was a poor appointment for us, some even say a disaster, and what did his team lose the league by, 6 points was it? Baring in mind the atrocious “honest mistakes” that went against us at the time he could have even won the title with a level playing field, Mowbrays Celtic team ran Rangers ragged in their encounters.
