Coffee & Tv: Celtic Downed By Mariners (Highlights*)

I had the pleasure of listening to the opening game of our Australian Tour on CoastFM963: Central Coast Community Radio and I can safely say it was entertaining.

The banter was great with numerous shout outs to Celtic message boards, the fact that the commentators didn’t have a clue who any of the Celtic players were (and blamed the way the strips were numbered for the oversight of not preparing) and, best off all, the calling of Loovens as Lovin then asking whether it should be McLovin.

All that was missing was conversation about budgie smugglers and burnt wing men.

I left the commentary after about 75 mins. I was confident that I wasn’t going to miss much. It was surprising then when I found out we had slumped too a one nil defeat.

Now, the highlights are all of 38 seconds. That’s about right. Ledley’s mistake leads to a good finish and it seems in international friendly games your allowed to punch the ball off the line.

LOL 1st time ive seen any highlights of the game, the penalty decision must have made the bhoys feel right at home, even the Mariners players stopped and looked reserved to it being a penalty, oh well it’s only a friendly but pretty stupid decision not to give it.

Seemingly the ref is a well known controversial character. Must admit by the sounds of it the last 5 mins were worth the admission fee. The rest was forgettable.

the disappointing thing for me is the fact we where wearing the hoops. i was noping they’d take the other 2 strips & leave them in Austria (sorry australia, its not only commentators who get mixed up lol)
