Coffee & Tv: Stokes Goal From Win At Cardiff

|

This is a slightly unusal pre-season for us. 3 wins on the trot with 3 clean sheets. With us having 4 more ‘international friendlies’ to go, most when the season has begun then this will surely change?

Are we better than Cardiff? Well, we are certainly fitter at this stage of the season. That would be the least I would have expected anyway.

Our trialist goalie looked comfortable in his lanky frame while doing nothing apart from catch a few cross balls and deal with a few pass backs. It’s an art looking comfortable while looking like a beanstork. Something Double F didn’t have.

The commentary from Premier Sports was ruined by Lou Macari. Lou sounded like he was choking on Craig Burley’s jisim while high on glue and domestos. He called Shaun Maloney a ‘young player’ and in general proved why he’s been chased from every job since 1994.

Here’s the goal.

    Well in Stokesy.

Never listen to a word Macari utters. Numbskull springs to mind. Best thing that came from Macari, apart from the chippie at Largs, was the song”Lou Lou skipped to ma Lou”… The name “Shay Given” will send a shiver down the spine of every Celtic fan when Macari’s name gets mentioned.

Surely Premier Sports could have got someone better to commentate than Macari,he drove me bonkers last night prattling on.Well done to the players for the win, lets get three points on Sunday.

In Cardiff last night. Liked the look of all the new guys tho’ we need to judge them under harsher conditions.

    Decent goal

We lacked creativity up front against a packed defence ..same old and worried that we canny open up teams.

We seemed to be trying one pass to many on most occasions. Mainly Stokes as the culprit.
