Quote Of The Day: BBC Pithy View Of R*ngers Transfer Policy

I could only follow  #FATSALLY #FATCHEERLEADER #FATPAULLEGUEN #XXLCheerleader gaining of a point against Hearts via the BBC Live Commentary due to IT Nazis in my place of employment.

The BBC have seemed to have annoyed the XXL one. The sarcastically toned text on their failed bid to resign Kenny Miller caused me to guffaw like a storm drain and won’t help relations between the Beeb and R*ngers.

Maybe Wiggy should have a word?

It’s the perfectly placed ” of course, …” that makes me smile, though I really shouldn’t.

    Hail Hail.

I’m surpirsed Kenny Misser didn’t take your hand shake as an agreement on a future deal. He is a mercenary. Would sell his unborn child for £16,000 a week. He is now set up to go to Swansea in a season time.

Changing the subject a bit, but I was shocked and disgusted by the Neil Lennon headline in today’s Record, and I hope it’s okay to comment on it.

I used to defend the Record because I thought it was a decent, actually Scottish newspaper that didn’t patronise working class people, like some of the other tabloids.

Never again though. Today’s headline was deliberately inflammatory and misleading. As with the Australia plane incident, they took an innocent, good natured comment, twisted it, put it in a completely different context, and made Neil look like he was going to war with the refs again. And, of course, it was accompanied by a picture of Neil scowling about something completely unrelated to the article or headline.

The people responsible for it should be sacked. It’s irresponsible and dangerous.

well said…stopped buying it over a decade ago

80’s and early 90’s a regular herald, record evening times ..every day & probably 20 newspapers a week. Not any more.

not bought a scots based paper for a long time (scotsman at the airport a few times …but that gave me the heave)

you are spot on about the image of Lenny they portray. Aim to appeal to the lowest end of blue market

I remember record when they had page 3 girls …mum banned it from the house until they stopped. (she was right of course tho’ don’t think that was my view 30 years ago.)

They are getting more and more desperate each year. wonder if they will go down that route again?

      hail, hail

        • St Brendan's Bhoy says:

          yes,
a period before 1980 they had a topless page 3

unless I am going blin..eh senile

They won’t be sacked, reprimanded or giving a stern warning over future behaviour. They will be backed slapped as they have done their job.

The Record is what it is. A tabloid on the slide like all the Pulp Fiction Press. If you buy it you know what you are getting. Same as The Sun, The Star and The Beano.

  • lordofthewing says:

I will comment but I’m watching Dunfermline v St Midden, like our manager at the moment.

  • Gary Burns says:

Got to agree, Read a copy of the Beano recently and its shocking
