From reports , the Polis seem quite happy to arrest for smoke bombs but have nice wee tannoy announcements for sectarian and offensive singing.
What would you rather be subjected to?

I hope this is not a trend starting.
What? Allowing racism, sectarianism & bigotry? Scottish football’s 100 year trend.
I know which one’s worse by a long way, but I’d prefer not to have to deal with smoke bombs either.
Does anyone know why they’re doing it ?
It’s fun. No harm at all. Improves the atmosphere loads!
Its to disguise the GB’s ‘lateral movement’ at CP!!! Its against the law dontcha know!
It seems yesterday that when the polis went in to arrest the group just let of all the bombs they had. Impressive looking but I think it’s more to do with it all being a big game.
Unfortunately an inevitable consequence of Celtic and us fans taking no more. Last season was there for all to see and like a wounded animal, the Hun media, the Hun forces and bigots in Scotland will be more dangerous this season than last.
To echo what Lenny said, this is not the end this is just the beginning and I fear he may be more accurate on many a front with that statement
You’re guilty of sectarian, bigoted language yourself, ironically.
A sheriff found a Celtc fan guilty of a sectarian crime because he had the *H* word on a T shirt. This is now precedent in Scottish law.
Rubbish, the lad pled guilty to the ‘charge’. No precedant set in case law. Idiots like you give footall fans a bad name. A hun is a Hun is a Hun dontcha know!
Hun us not a sectarian word and the case you mention has not set it as a precident
the guy pled guilty to the charges (ill advised IMO) and the case never went to trial
it still remains open to be challenged in court – and I guess that day will come soon as the Police look to prove “one side as bad as the other”
Is Hun sectarian? I remember the Huns used to claim that they called Celtic supporters huns – so, if thats the case was it sectarian then and if not, why is it sectarian now? And what about Aberdeen fans calling you huns, and hibs, and ICT, and Dundee and well, everyone calls you Huns
are they all sectarian bigots and it’s just the poor wee tribe of hunnites that are pure (and i don’t mean in an aryan sense!)
Rangers had to trivialise the sectarian charge and they grasped Hun when they had plenty of other things that they could have got offended about. Problem is, the suits will probably agree as one side is as bad as the other don’t you know.
It is utterly ridiculous to equate the use of flares in a football crowd to sectarianism.
One is dangerous, the other insulting.
What would you rather have?
A blinded child, or your feelings hurt?
Besides, apart from the real danger of using flares in a crowd, these idiots again allow the Scottish media to focus on their antics rather than the game or more important issues.
Grow up.
I was highlighting police proceedure not making moral judgement on the merits or the wrongs of flares.
Your use of wording itself makes your statement both hypocritical and ironic. By using the blinded child example all your doing is looking to maximise your impact. Giving your accusation about equation would it not be fair to say that linking the “idiots” by which your implying the green brigade are idiots but also now a danger to children. As far as I’m aware no child had been blinded by a member of the green brigade.
The heading of the blog is designed to draw your attention, a point which you clearly were not a fan on, yet you seek to draw attention to your own post with the awful thought of an injured child. I hope you see the hypocritical content.
As for the media, it’s none other than the media themselves you should be blaming. They select, write, produce and distribute the material. Openly ignoring an orange flute band at a rangers friendly while the police were involved in a Celtic game for an entirely different matter which in my opinion is less dangerous than sectarianism
The only way for us to get it right up the lot of them is to buy a good keeper and a big center forward, then win the league.
Problem yesterday was that the smoke bombs were the wrong colour!
The police have already indicated that red smoke (as seen at hampden) is permissable & we await their sanctioning of blue smoke turing the air as blue as ragers sectarian singing does (which they have for years condoned as permissable)
season ticket for sale, £400 quid bargain, if interested call 07581484060
Risky sales technique.
i love the atmosphere at celtic games now!!! been going to games for 10 years and this is up there with best ot it!! the grren brigade have brought life back to CP and i only hope officals atc CP INCREASE the numbers up there
we will be wiatched more closely than ever before…afraid there will be some serious flashpoints with our bhoys potrayed as the baddies…
mehtinks last year was just the beginning in more ways than one
still standing up for lenny
hail hail
This is a prime example of that many different sets of people go to games now and stadiums need to be adjusted according to this, have PROPER family sections for the kids and terracing for the big kids.
Great shout. A sensible comment.
having followed celtic for over 40 years i couldnt care what rangers sing or do,we sing our songs and they sing theirs, but its our fault for complaining to the goverments for what they sing. now it is backfiring on us, and it will get worse, so for gods sake grow up and wise up fellow tims
