A family member once went to Oz a number of years ago. Come to think of it, it must be nearly twenty years ago. The highlight of the trip for us left at home was the three VHS full of Neighbours that they brought back.

At that time Neighbours was six months behind on the BBC. I watched all the tapes within a week. This meant that the current storylines the Beeb were showing bored me. I knew what happened in 6 months time. I haven’t watched Neighbours since.

This is probably the first time I will have a passing interest in anything from Oz since Alf died in Home and Away.

We kick off in 10 and a bit hours time.

What’s your team and what do you expect from theses games?

Anyone know if it’s on the TV? I can’t find it on any of the sports channels.

It’d be nice to see the new Bhoys get a game. I also want to see Cervi in goal, I wonder if he’s any good! Hooperman up front – no problem at all!

What? Home and Away or the Celts?

Central Coast are not a bad side. I’m from Aus and I appreciate the A-League is not a quality competition, but they’re one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the league so will be fairly competitive. I also reckon the A-League is likely to be more physical than the SPL and for that reason, and without the likes of Majstorovic up back the hoops might lack the physical presence.

That being said, Central Coast should be the only team to pose a threat to the hoops. I’m from Perth and after last season, I doubt the Glory can muster up a serious threat. However, after some new signings (including Liam Miller from Hibs and NZ striker Shane Smeltz) they might be alright.

Anyway – I’m hoping to sing ‘Just can’t get enough’ – at least twice for Hooper and a McCourt wondergoal would top it off!

they should also get down to see some AFL whilst they’re down here. toughest sport in the world.

    MOOOAANN THE HOOOPS!
