A Bhoys Dream Comes True

The story of Blistering Bob Keane will make a Hollywood Blockbuster someday. The boy from the Tallaght whose dreams ALL came true. It’s like a modern day Charlie and The Chocolate Factory with added Range Rovers and Gucci.

What we have to learn from all this is beware false prophets proclaiming love and us thinking that some have unfinished business. They have. Cleaning out club accounts.

A warning for fans and board members me thinks.

These situations are extremely disappointing for fans. It’s purely a result of the money now being wasted by outfits like Sky and other broadcasters.
Not so long ago genuine world class players like Davie Cooper and Paul McStay could be regularly seen strolling down the main street of their home towns and they would happily banter with the fans.
Nowadays they’re like pop stars or royalty. The players have been taken away from the fans because of the obscene amounts of money they make. Even mediocre players swan about in their £80,000 Range Rovers waving condescendingly to, or more often, pointedly ignoring the ordinary fan. It’s our own fault though for subscribing to these companies, whilst slavishly buying the new home kit, away kit, nostalgia video and the like.
    But we’re stuck with it.
