Coffee & Tv: Has The Cheating Begun Already (Video)

I watched part of their game yesterday. I was struck by how poor Inversenkie were and that it was only a matter before they scored.

Euan Norris has awarded them 5 penalties in the last 3 games he has meant to have taken control off. Yesterdays two were, well, one was dubious and the other was not a penalty.

I’m no fan of Ross Tokely. The man is a human tree and it’s not known how he had made a career in football. I’m no fan of Steven Naismith. He is light on his feet but since this is a Sunday I will be kind and just call him a diving wee scrotum.

Tokely won the ball. It should have rated as a great tackle. It didn’t.

The second penalty? Nice to see that the Romanian has already been introduced to the dark arts. But, if you touch then players have a want to go down and then it’s up to the MIB to make the decision.

For once I agree with Butcher. He moaned afterwards:

“We’re getting to the stage where you just don’t make tackles. It’ll be more like ballet than anything else”.

The crack down on the art of tackling can seem harsh at times. It’s needed now because of the athleticism of players, even of those blessed with no ability, means that some tackles will be akin to getting knocked down with a small car.

I have no problem with the outlawing of tackling from behind and dangerous studs up challenges. I have a problem when the art of tackling, which in itself can be as important and memorable as any goal, get’s criminalized by carrots who cant do their jobs.

I must Say that at First look it looks like a Penalty..it’s Harsh, and the Player Fell Dramatically..but i think things like that happen, but the Linesman should have Reported it 🙁 unfortunately he didn’t

sadly i missed our game yesterday but when i watched the goals i couldn’t help but notice how Naismith went for the academy award style fall where as at Celtic park young James Forrest took the opportunity to stick the ball in the net rather than try to get another player sent off. Naismith is famous for it last seasons scottish cup game showed. i sadly think it’s just the begining.

Naismith is an absolute disgrace to football, how he gets through a whole game without being sent off for his consistent diving is beyond me. I remember the outcry in the media when Mcgeady got booked for diving, the Record had A 2 PAGE SPREAD! Headlined “The Great Mcgeady Debate”, i wonder if we will see something similar on Naismith?

I watched it on Sky Sports and even the panel were in stitches at the refereeing who trains the Huns eh Bartletts cause they all go doon like a sack o’ spuds whenever they go near the box, can’t wait to see how Motherwell do when Mordor come visiting bet their no top after it eh not that am saying conspiracy lol

I did plan a blog on McShagger but couldn’t handle the accusations of only being bothered about them…

I still think a 3/5 man review panel is the way to go..it cant/wont change the result of the game, but, a player can be punished if on video evidence its seen that he dived or faked injury to the detriment of opposing team or player i.e. (a resulting penalty or sending off)..2 match ban & a weeks wages go to a charity of your teams choice..

    p.s. Naismith is a prick

whats good for the goose is good for the gander. Celtic are renowned for their diving in and around the box..ask Maloney, Stokes or hooper, samaras etc: Its simply a case of jelousy. Naismith plays for the scottish CHAMPIONS and has more class in his little toe than all septics forwards put together.

this is all, goodnight and godbless, celtic have left the building. dont let the door hit you on the ass on the way out now!

CFC – offended at everything, ashamed at nothing!

Is that it…right ye are, see ya…

    • lordofthewing says:

I was going to give you a sensible answer then you went and mentioned class and Naismith in the same sentence. Your parents now have my pity as does your dog……

You all probably know that the official UEFA site is chock full of stats.
In last year’s statistics, Naismith was top of the “most fouled against player” table in the CL for months (even after rANGERs were dumped out of it).

Why would that be, d’you think?

He actually finished 5th in that table, behind Messi, Ronaldo, Busquets and Sneijder (despite having about half the amount of time on the park)!!!
