It was a move that Alan Pardew said would never happen. Some Toon Fans took this as a carte blanche to have a go at Celtic but more in-particular Scotland and the state of the nation up here.

It says a lot that the Geordie Nation – Sponsored By Moobs, Weightwatchers and Bad Ink Corp – feel safe to cast scorn when basically they are our cousins who were so idiotic that they couldn’t climb back over the wall.

Forster on loan with a fee in the region of £2m agreed if we wish to buy. I said before that this is a low risk signing in terms of we know what we are getting and the player knows what he is getting. It’s high risk as he has failings.

All debate about Yous Tube watched Polish keepers and trialists should be ended now. Evidence proves that Forster was always a top target. Do we need our gaffer to tell us?

Yes

We’re absolutely delighted as he’s been our main target, basically, since the end of last season.

Does that clear that up?

Well, I for one am not exactly delighted with this signing, especially going on last seasons performances. If anybody gets the chance take a look at the Newcastle v Leeds friendly footage, two absolute howlers. More or less assured himself of a move North in those 90 minutes. Newcastle have moved to replace him with a keeper from Charlton, says it all really. Yes, we have our ‘top target’ but…….
One last thing, the way you have written this blog is exactly the reason that other fans cast scorn. Just report the facts in a positive manner, we don’t really need the snide comments based on drivel you’ve read in the Daily Record or wherever..

His performance against Dirty Leeds was the subject of a blog and at that point I did say that he would end up back up North. As for Newcastle replacing him with a guy from Charlton, well what do you expect as they need a third choice keeper not a first choice?

The aim off this blog was to highlight the stupidity of Pardew and poke a stick at some Toon fans who got up themselves. Nothing to do with drivel I haven’t read anyway.

Or are you new to the fan blog/site game? If you are..childish banter is allowed.

Hi guy’s, first allow me as a mag for over 55 years to apolllogise for what would appear to be a minority of mindless tossers.
I’m also a Bouys supporter and wish big Fozzy the best in his time north of the wall. I suppose that if a few more had been his size, we would have got a few more back over the wall. Good luck for the season and lets hope my bet of a litre of grouse with a Teddybear that we end up a minimum of 4 points clear next May. HWTL.

Yea, good article. I was really getting fed up with NUFC fans having a pop at Celtic and the SPL. If you look at Mike Ashleys plan, sell their best players, bank the money then sell the club before they get relegated. It must be a good time to be a NUFC fan, they can mouth all they want coz talk is cheap. If you look at the state and antics of Joey Barton, it says it all.

Good luck to him. But, the question is, why is our “main target” a loan signing?

    • lordofthewing says:

I think or hope anyway that this situation has more to do with the selling club not wishing to cast away a prospect too early rather than us being penny pinching paupers…..

  • Max says:

Pardew thinks Celtic are a ‘step-down’from Whocastle Utd!
He also thinks the SPL is a shit league, that one’s harder to argue.
Before the start of this season Pardews Whocastle Utd record stood at 6 wins in 22 games and being pumped out of the FA Cup by the mighty Stevenage!
He brought West Ham the worst run of results SEVENTY YEARS before they dumped him!
He couldn’t do enough at Euro stars Charlton to save them from relegation, and and left them at third last in the Championship 18 months later before they dumped him!
And lets not forget his very short and almost forgetable stay at league one Southampton were yet again, you guessed it, he was unceremoniously dumped out on his inadequate arse!

As I said, it’s hard to argue with a guy with such experience of these matters, if anyone knows what a shit league is it’s Pardew, he’s dragged enough clubs down into them!

    • lordofthewing says:

I often wonder why guys like Pardew and Curbisley are so in demand for middle to nothing EPL clubs. Their CV is a charge sheet not an endorsement.

  • Glenn says:

How dare you Celts have a go at our manager Pardew, the man is a footballing genius, remember his brilliant plan for keeping West Ham up? Drop Mascherano and Tevez and play Nigel Reo-Coker and Bobby Zamora instead!

Oh dear I may have detected a slight flaw in my own argument there…

  • HoopAbroad says:

    Good luck to the team!
