It must be difficult for a young reporting pup, who is quite enthusiastic, to make it in the modern media world where the old guard hang around the kennels ensuring that no-one else gets to sniff the behinds.

Some will go to great lengths to ensure a pay cheque.

Peter Martin became a lampooned figure due to his over the top commentary’s on a parochial radio station. When that parochial station lost rights to broadcast games and the phone in’s became the kitchen light to those idiotic moths with nowhere to go he decided to jump ship to SSN hoping to follow in Jim Whites slipstream.

It’s failed.

Last night was his first attempt at becoming known as the Scottish Chris Kamara, which is a low place to find yourself in.

It was enjoyable though.

    You know he was going for his usual over the top commentary, but even accounting for that you suspect the cheer of “yaaas!!!!!” was the inner Timmy escaping briefly.

    Anyone hand picked by Celtic to host the Hall of Fame dinners a few years back is unlikely to be anything else, I do hope he did not have one ounce of guilt in his body….
