On Saturday morning before his debut the player was quoted as musing:

“I have to work to get to the top. I’m talking about the Spanish league, the English league or maybe the Italian league. If I can do my best here with Celtic then I will see what the future holds. If possible, I could make the next step in one year – if everything goes well and the club is willing, why not?”

Working his ticket?

After his debut he proclaimed:

“The fans were great today, They motivate me. They are fantastic and I loved it.

“I have started to enjoy myself here already and I believe I’m going to stay here for a very long time. I can see a long-term future at this club. It is really nice here.”

Attractive to fans genuine felt hyperbole or a quiet word in his ear from the club?

Whatever it is Toni and Guy won’t be short of visits during his year. Click on the picture above to reveal the style of the man called Mo.

When I heard that he was wanting to leave after a year I thought… Well at least he’s honest about it… He hasn’t experienced celtic properly yet and after a home European match, those words from after his debut will have some meaning to them!!

Time to become a legend Mohammed!!

I think someone has had a word, don’t think they would let him say what he did in papers on the official site.

Well, If we can’t get loyalty from Islam Feruz after all the club has done for him why we would ever expect any level of loyalty from any journeyman player, ever. This guy looks ok and so did Fortune in his first couple of games, Braithwaide also, Looveins also, that guy who scored in the Scottish cup final three years ago…the list goes on and on. Let’s see if he (Mo) proves himself over the course of this one season because, and WE ALL KNOW THIS, BUDDY YOU WILL HAVE TO BE VERY EXCEPTIONAL TO GET TO LA LIGA AFTER ONE YEAR IN THE SPL.

Pretty disappointing to see this website along with some other celts sites turn into a mash of pop-up adverts, makes me think twice about clicking the link…

Loyalty is a two-way street. Celtic were extremely loyal to young Islam he did not feel obliged to reciprocate. Celtic signed Bangura with a view to his possible re-sale value due to his age. If he does well he will be sold at a profit. Everybody happy! Would we all be delighted if he had said the ‘Celtic are the only club I want to play for!’ nonsense. He is from Sierra Leone, obviously getting to the EPL will be a dream. Followed by the other top leagues, if he has any ambition. Good Luck to him I only hope he does well enough for his short stay to become an actual problem. Or would we rather he sees out his contract because no other club is interested.
