Ummm,it doesn’t work for me on a google chrome browser.

Let’s just pray that if we win, we will have won the 1st ever Glasgow Derby, and the last ever Glasgow Derby!

  • Wildrover says:

That was absolutely pathetic. How can we continue to allow them m to take the p*ss out of us like that ?! We absolutely sh*t it today, again !

    • bhoylondon67 says:

I don’t understand what Lennon was trying to do, Mulgrew on the left? What does Lennon think he plays that role better than Ledley? And we were always going to lose as soon as Samaras was in the team, he is a terrible player, playing him automatically hands Rangers the advantage. Lennon keeps persisting with him, why?
We deseved to lose for setting out our team like that.

      • Wildrover says:

I don’t know. It’s still early in the season. However, at a minimum, I expect to see a bit of passion and fight..not that p*sh. Game was lost in the midfield, Rangers fought harder and showed the greater desire. The defence desperately needs a couple of mature, experienced heads. Every time the ball lands in the box they absolutely sh*t their pants. Mulgrew did OK on the left and I prefer Ledley more central but you’re right, with Commons injured, he’s the better option.

Too many long aimless balls forward again ! That was really getting on my napper. Samaras ? Well, regardless of his “good qualities” and the odd token impressive solo goal he’s just not for us. Nor is playing one up front. Why are we over thinking these big games ? Just go out and play the system and the style that suits us best !

I know it’s early in the season, im just concerned by some decisions, everyone in Scotland knows Samaras is a waste of a jersey except Lennon? I bet the rest of the team, especially Hooper, are disheartened to hear Samaras is starting, Stokes must be scratching his head wondering how the worst “striker” in the league starts before him.
Really disappointed by the team selection, glaringly obvious mistakes by Lennon imo.

  • Abhoydownunder says:

Was Lennon an observer at this game.
Where was the direction to a team that looked lost, outplayed and lacking guts against a shite team?
He should been on his feet and outlining exactly what is required to put them to the sword.
Sorry, but I was 200% sure we would beat this lot.
It is early in the season but ffs, We need leadership now..

  • johnd says:

We deserved to lose because they were miles better. They played better, thought better and fought better. Even at 2-1 I felt we needed a goal to make sure we got a point. Something is not working. The team lacks belief and direction and it needs to be fixed sooner rather than later. How? I have no idea.
However, we can always get the prayer mats out and pray they go into administration. Even losing 10 points might not guarantee us winning the league if we continue to play like that. I wish to God that beating them on the park was a certainty, as it should be the state they are in, rather than pining all our hopes on them going bust.

I think the reason Celtic supporters are so pi##ed off with this particular result against Rangers, more so than they were after the cup final loss last year and the 3-1 loss for the 1st Glasgow Derby of last season, is because we all believe we have the players to win the game and win it comfortably, Commons, Stokes, Forrest and Ledley are sitting on our bench and Mulgrew is left midfield, Loovens shouldn’t be on the pitch and Samaras shouldn’t be a footballer.
We do need a couple of news players like another centre back and another striker, but we are all certain Lennon already has a squad that should be dominating the league.

  • bobocop says:

Johnd you have it right, Celtic were never at the races. One quality goal and a goalkeeping howler when the ‘gers knocked in 5 and could easily have had 3 more.
Where has the belief gone? This is the same team that took the championship to the last day and was in raptures at winning the Scottish Cup. Now was it just me or did Lennons “this is just the beginning” salvo sound , and look, a bit unconvincing.
Direction? That comes from the two most important men in the team. Off field from the manager and on the park from the Captain. It doesn’t matter how good the foot soldiers are. If the leadership is not there then the war’s lost.
Go even further up the tree though and what do you find. A board with guys on it who could fund the current set up out of their pocket money but would probably spend more on a racehorse or a boat. I bet if any of you guys had won the £162,000,000 on the lottery you would have stuck most of it into Parkhead. These men don’t think like us.(by us I mean fans, as I’m obviously a blunose) I’ve been largely out of touch and for a while been out of the country so I don’t have a handle on the most recent financial doings at Ibrox or the transfer merry-go-round but would I be wrong in saying that Whyte has invested more in Rangers in the close season than the entire Celtic board.
It’s early in the season and who knows what might happen, but Celtic have lost more than they’ve won and we could be hearing the sound of a door slamming from someone on the way out.
P.S. Johnd. Administration? Be careful of what you wish for. We’re not called the “old firm” for nothing.

    • bhoylondon67 says:

Your right about 1 thing in your post, “we’re not called the ‘old firm’ for nothing”, but your wrong about the reason we are labelled the ‘old firm’. We used to be called it for the reason your suggesting, that we need each other financially and to keep ahead of our scottish rivals, nowadays it has become a term used to lump Celtic in with all the bad, negative goings on by Rangers, a guilt by association term, the telling thing is that Rangers are a lot happier and comfortable with using the term whilst Celtic supporters are much more inclined to distance ourselves from any type of comparison with Rangers.

Also Whyte has invested the grand total of £1 into Rangers, every fan who has bought a single official club product worth over £1 has therefore invested more into Celtic or Rangers.

      • bobocop says:

Can’t agree with your thinking on this bhoylondon. If either half of the old firm were to go then Scotlands meagre exposure to the wider football world would disappear completely. I’m just back from Engurland and never once saw a report on a Scottish game in any of the papers down there. Scottish football would be totally anonymous without Rangers and Celtic. There would be virtually zero T.V. money and as a result sponsorship would disappear. With reduced revenue even those players we do have would head south to pick up bigger wages in the championship or div 1.
So just as both clubs in the past collaborated to protect their interests that voluntary arrangement has now become inter-dependence which makes them even more of a “firm”
As for negative goings on, what in particular are you talking about. Which of the following are exclusive to Ibrox? Racism? Sectarianism? Bigotry? Paedophilia maybe? Long standing associations to terrorism? Naw your right. Such things have never raised their heads amongst the men of god at Parkhead. What about matters outside of these “hot” topics. No shouting and swearing, chanting personally offensive abuse, drunkeness, insulting and vile conduct, assaulting officials. For every type of crime and misdemeanour there is I bet I could show you a Celtic fan who has committed it. And A Rangers fan.
Celtic fans have no moral high ground from which to operate, any more than Rangers fans. Probably less.
