Lawwell is “Sussed”

International week should be a quiet time for our ‘revered’ and ‘feared’ CEO, maybe time to chalk up some hours topping up that tan, Skype the major shareholder a few times or replace the worn out mirrors in your home.

He wouldn’t be expecting his workings to be ridiculed and questioned.

James McFadden was first up:

“It was just the way things were approached. I could expand on that, but I’m not going to.

“It’s just one of those things. I don’t know how concrete the interest was. Obviously I was in talks with Celtic, but I don’t know what their intentions were.”

‘Faddy’ has yet to play for Everton.

Then yesterday we learned:

“The Hoops were delighted the Dutchman (Bolo Zenden) decided to train with the club for a short period but both parties have agreed not to take the move further following discussions.”

To paraphrase aging rockers: “Hey Peter, leave those big kids alone”.

It seems that our dealings with players (both current and hopeful) are becoming more awkward and that the words abrasive, arrogant, allusive and down right cheeky could be used to describe them.

I believe the story all this board are interested in is lining their own pockets cause they see Celtic as a big cash cow. Yes they’ve spent few million before but nowhere near the standard to help develop and get Celtic to the stature they should be at why do you think whenever we’ve had some success the following season there’s been nothing put into the team

Forget blaming PL and Board. Always somebody elses fault. Problem is a manager who hasn’t a clue. He has not made one good signing – yup Izzy and Kayal were brought to his attention and available for buttons. Hardly high risk. The key signings that we were meant to build a team round are still nowhere to be seen. Kelvin Wilson? Bigman looked great against pish teams, step up a level and he was lost. How many players have we spent big money on that are out on loan? Bangura no doubt the next one. If I was on the Board I would be saying do we trust this man to invest wisely when his record tells me otherwise? Answer no! They are doing it for the greater good not to piss us lot off!
The idea that the Board are lining their pockets is just daft. Board not ideal, but they will see day to day how income is dropping, how outgoings are rising and basically how to keep us solvent. Its the manager who has not spent what little money there is wisley enough

If that is the case the board would/should be wondering why did we employ this man and having a good look at themselves. If you want to believe that Lenny has full control over the football operation then good luck.

How many out on loan? Juarez (Mexican market breaker), Murphy (Irish market) are the only two I can think off just now that arrived during Lennon’s time and are now on loan. Also, Bangura, aye, signed when Lennon was in portugal looking at another striker.

no probs – you only see your point of view. If my employer takes me on and I feck up is that my fault or his? Everyone wanted Lenny to be given a chance me included. However, proven he is not up to it and therefore in a way i agree that the board need to have the balls to bite the bullet and give him the bullet

Agree with you LOTW the board are using Lenny as a puppet as a lot of other Celtic managers before. Its nonsense that there’s no money we’ve been in enough CL games throughout recent years to gather enough income for transfers, like said before all they’ve done is line their pockets after getting the club solvent which although being admirable the money that comes in shouldn’t necessarily be theirs after all their getting paid enough in my humble opinion
