Appeal System Failings See Kayal Out For A Month

|

We all know that there was only one reason WHY R*ngers appealed Lee McCoolucks deserved red card against St Mirren.

With Biram Kayal now being ruled out for a month I suppose they can say job done.

Naw…canny agree with yer sentiments here LOTW….
All they did was what we would have done if it had been Kayal….
Also the tackle was 50-50 imo….
Much as I don’t like Elbows…there’s no problem here for me.
Happy New Year by the way…and
    Keep up the good work.

Mike, look at the frozen image of LMcC alone…wtf is that? The man should not of been on the park imo and if your insinuating that its a coincidence that “elbows” just happened to take out Biram whilst going for a genuine 50/50 then I have to disagree with u bud. Even if he didn’t hurt Kayal at all, that type of challenge in today’s game is completely shocking! The man is nothing but a dirty, cheating animal and I have no idea what Ally or anyone (Levein) see’s in him if not for being there to cripple other players.

As far as RFC and there fans are concerned, after that performance, I’d say that “job done” is exactly all they will take positive from the game.

    HH 1NL

ps Happy New Year to all.

Kayal had an immense game & it’s a shame he’s out for a month.

That said with Izzy on the way back deadly Joe can move into midfield where his talents are best suited.

    Brilliant end to the year.

Happy New Year to all the Celtic family.

  • Joe says:

Disagree Mike. McCulloch went in over the ball. This was a straight red which was never going to happen given that rangers had made the stupid claims of him being a target for officials.
Hail Hail and Happy New Year to all Tims around the World.

  • Tam says:

    I agree with Joe.

McCulloch played over the ball and through the man, I thought it was a disgraceful tackle.

    He is a horrible footballer.

  • martin says:

surely you didn’t expect anything different from with little ability and not a lot between the ears

  • Charlie says:

Definately a foul and a deserved card from a dirty player, colour of the card could be argued but I don’t blame der hun for appealing, the discipline/review system is lacking when a panel can’t convene to review this, the EPL had no such problems.
C’mon SFA/SPL catch up to the big boys.
That being said when you have Laughatme and elbows on the park you somebody’s going to get it, they’ll be going for Black from Hearts

  • ianin440 says:

The ref was happy to allow robust play except by Stokesy. 🙂
    Come on the Celts!
    Happy 2012 to all Bhoys!

  • Ross says:

appeals system let Celtic down! Two questions arise. 1;Should Celtic be entitled to compensation for loss of a player and relevant treatment, from either the SPL or Rangers fc? 2;If found guilty on appeal should McCulloch receive a stiffer ban than the 3 games he is due to get?

  • Joe says:

Happy 2012 to our whole Celtic family. Hail Hail.

  • Bill cfc says:

I didn’t think the tackle was bad I thought kayal done his ankle rolling awkward over the ball but that won’t hide my dislike off mculloch let’s hope he gets banned now but what a turnaround I can’t praise the Celtic management team enough on getting us back in this title race we have handled the pressure let’s see if rangers can hail hail

  • Kev says:

Absolutely shocking tackle he went right over the ball and was always aiming for kayal should have been a straight red as well as lafferty and Healy but it’s only what you come to expect from that mob wen it’s not going there way and also only what you expect from wilie colloum

  • TonyB says:

Elbows is a cowardly cheating thug. I wish people would stop trying to make excuses for him.
His “tackle” was at best reckless and at worst malicious.

  • mick f says:

It was a certainty he would cause injury to one of our players, i thought it would be Forrest. The only good thing is we have quality players in midfield. Another hope is any clubs who where thinking of putting a bid in for Kayal may be put off because of the injury even if it’s just till the summer.

  • Andy says:

Im afraid it was a 50-50 challenge guys, both players actually kick the ball at the same time but because Kayal stays on his feet whilst Elbows has “committed” himself into the challenge he follows through into Beram. Now im not saying he was “making sure” Kayal was in a game but id be dissappointed if our players didnt go in as committed as Elbow, look if Brown thought there was any malice in it then he’d have let Elbows know about it.
Lets stop this “hidden agenda” nonsense and continue our fantastic support to our Club through 2012 to the SPL Title.
