Celtic team news for tonight?

|

Jam Tarts smashed? The news today surrounds that Hearts keeper Kello could sign for Celtic, or other sources have stated he is not interested in coming to us.

Great way to put a little bit of an effort into a build up to a league match supposedly by sky sporks.

Kello has been quoted saying “Why would I want to sit on the Celtic bench?”

At least he knows his place and his quality level, basically that is saying to me that he knows he isn’t good enough for our starting 11.

Which is fair enough because from what I have seen of him he isn’t anything too special and not better than what we have.

If the case scenario was “We have signed Kello” I would basically say to our current crop of youths (goalkeepers) you have a minimal chance of being fast tracked or promoted.

Kello is a no-no for me, and he alongside Templeton, Kyle and little dirty bassa Ian Black will not feature tonight, ok moving swiftly onto starting line-up news for tonight.

Brozek, our new striker, sensationally said he wants a permanent move, and he may feature tonight in Lennons plans but I recommend that he may go for Samaras / Hooper or after the debacle of Agent Gerrys tweets that may or may not have been taken out of context, Lenny could put Stokes in to sharpen us up a wee bit.

The squad shapes up like this –

Celtic (from): Forster, K Wilson, Mulgrew, Rogne, Brown, Ledley, Twardzik, Wanyama, Matthews, Samaras, Commons, Forrest, Hooper, Stokes, Majstorovic, Zaluska, Brozek, Cha, Izaguirre, Ki.

Your views and answers welcome

Maj back?

Brozek contending?

Izzy to hit form?

Wanyama midfield tonight or defensive rock?

Strikers debate? Who will play?

Will Commons grab a goal tonight?

Stokes to stroke in another goal? Or Hoops he will do it again?

id throw brozek in at the deep end give him a start away to the diets and see what hes made of I think hes capable but if not theres still plenty of quality around him

  • Hoppers says:

Wouldn’t be in a rush to bring Dan back.. To me it sends out the message that form isn’t as important as being one of the managers favourites.

Rogne is looking more assured with every game, hope to see him continue at CB tonight. I’d be tempted to keep Izzy on the bench, put Ledley at left-back and keep Mulgrew in the centre, with Matthews at right-back.

In midfield, i’d go with Samaras on the left, Forrest on the right and Brown and Wanyama in the centre (given Wanyama’s current form, if this was anywhere bar Tynecastle i’d rest him in favour of Ki)

Up front pretty much picks itself in a 4-4-2, no? Hooper and Stokes all the way!

    Bench:

    Zaluska
    K. Wilson
    Commons
    Brozek
    Lustig/Izzy
    Ki
    McCourt

Id play Izzy, could be a good game to get him back into the swing of things. I think hearts will have a go, leaving some gaps for him to exploit.

    • Sean says:

Well their main man Templeton, who may i add in retaliation to another comment I DID NOT SLATE, is not floating around so I agree Izzy is an option

    • Hoppers says:

      Quacks,

I’d love for Izzy to get back in to things ASAP, but this is always a tough one for us. If he isn’t firing on all cylinders, maybe he shouldn’t play tonight?

Part of me feels like Izzy is worried he’s going to get injured again and has sort of been shrinking away from tackles.. Maybe playing on the same pitch as Ian Black for the night would cure him of that worry quickly enough!

  • lordofthewing says:

What has Agent Gerry been saying? Is he now Tony Stokes agent (or has he always been Tony Stokes agent?)

    Same as Inversenkie for me.

I think that tonight is a big game for us and we need 100% committment and 100% concentration from everyone. Tyncastle is never an easy place for us to win, and we need to get some momentum going in the league again. The season is not over, we need to finish r******s off. Tonight is a big, big game. I feel quite nervous about it.

I agree with the other posters. It’s not the game to bring big Dan back or to try Izzy again. Apart from that, if we’ve got a strong midfield and lots of effort and concentration, everything else should take care of itself.

  • eddie myles says:

so called celtic supporter bad mouthing hearts player david templeton .obviously you are not aware that he is one of us, a celtic man.

  • stubhoy says:

Well guys its anyones guess but think it will be :

    FORSTER
    MATHEWS
    ROGNE
    MULGREW
    IZZY
    FORREST

    LEDLEY
    SAMMY
