In Scotland this is a yellow card even though the fourth official who saw the whole incident brought it to the Euan Norris attention.
The offender Ian Black later in the first deliberately handled the ball. No second yellow card was forthcoming.
Euan Norris later on proved that his interpretation of deliberate handball is different from the rest of the human race.
This was Joe Ledley’s leg after the tackle.

Norris smdidnt see the tackle, assistant brought it to his attention, maybe that’s why he only gave a yellow.
He didn’t see the penalty incident either, but still managed to award it!!

I do say that Norris didn’t see it. Though the fourth official – a qualified ref – surely calls that a red?

Dallas and Clark coming out in such a choreographed way is telling. Firstly that MSM have no shame and secondly that they are reverting to type.
Getting together behind closed doors to conspire against us.
Old habits….

That’s one of the most inept refereeing performances I’ve ever seen. Was it earlier this season that Black slid in on someone really late when they were already down? What’s it going to take before he seriously injures someone irreparably ?

Think it was Keith Lasley he caught with that challenge.
Can’t say I see much wrong with that!

It was never a penalty no way. At the same time I’m starting to get really annoyed with lenny, a wish he would just accept defeat at times. He keeps blaming the refs, we were beating it happens. Also we won the league, that was the main prize for the season

Two major decisions have went against us in our last two trips to Hampdump. Would that pen have been giving against Rangers?
Would Rangers have got Stokes pen in the league cup final.
We all know the answer is yes.

Why does Lennon not send out Johan or Thompson to speak to the press, then think about things, watch the game over, and give a press ocnference the following day. Ask if Stewart Regan can identify any under performing referees from the fixtures played over the weekend.
When the press ask him to clarify he can simply say the same again and that they really need to ask those questions of John Flemming and Stewart Regan as they are the guys that can spot under performing officials.
He needs to start getting savy and playing these guys at there own game.
Surprise surprise another ref is brought out today to say that Lennon is a bully. Unlike the last two games it was interesting that Dallas didn’t comment on the penalty or the Black tackle but then again he has got form for only seeing what he wants to see.
I didn’t see blacks challenge either at the game or on the highlights last night. What a shocker! But yet again the referee has booked him so there is no retrospective action that can be taken.
Basically what the officials are now telling us is that it is alright, not only to commit a challenge like that, but it is fine to do it after the game has stopped.
The best part of the farce is that he got the foul. Only in Scotland.

It was right in front of me when he confronted the ref and Thommo never attempted to stop him. Actually he was more like a witness!
In that split second he doesn’t think. That’s the problem though I fully support him having a go at the ref.

We were pure shite & HOOPERS GOAL WAS OFFSIDE. Lennon is inept & dragging our good name through the gutter. The referees have always been shite. Get over it. We were clueless AGAIN. Lennon has no dignity at all. Saying now he’s “walking with Legends” (?!!) and following it up saying he can win Champions League at Celtic. Embarrassing. Excruciatingly bad. If Naismith hadn’t got bad injury & sidelined last 6 months, Jellyfish getting sold (no replacement) & even Laffertys goals won them league last few weeks of last season, we would not have won league & that is a fact. 2 cup finals against 2 two-0bob teams wi journeymen & 2 defeats. Never been a Lennon fan as a boss & never will. Happy clap all you want, he is an impostor. Good player, bad manager.

I will discuss our manager at length once my thoughts are clearer but your take on his quotes that made MSM headlines prove that maybe you didn’t actually read what he said.
The headlines didn’t tell the whole truth.
So, you feel the league win is tainted?

If you’re aunty was your uncle….. I’ve watched hooper incident many times & it’s still not certain. Norris didn’t see who or what made contact with ball but gave pen. It’s apples and pears.
If ragers hadn’t cheated on tax jellyfish and many others wouldn’t have played for them.
I’d much rather Lennon played his hand differently with officials and selections. I’m sure he knows this too.
I have no idea how he copes with constant abuse and discrimination, I couldn’t.
Team is young and will improve as they mature. One or two key players needed and a few offloaded.
Ibroke result was massive disappointment especially for those of us who went to every game when we had nothing and no one, we missed a chance for payback!
Still I’m hoping we can reverse that result in the last Glasgow derby for some years to come on 29th!

The scottish refs have always been pretty poor, although a didn’t see lenny complain when we went on that winning run. Andy walker is right, his daily life must be terrible at times, although his behaviour on the park at times is pretty poor. A actually felt he was going to hit that ref on sunday. That is know way to behave as celtic manager. Harry redknapp must have been raging at the ref, but you didnt see him running on the pitch to confront the referee.

Did anyone read what Neil Lennon said in the newspapers last week or are some Celtic supporters as illiterate and determined to believe what rangers fans are?
He said he felt like a real Celtic manager now he had won the league. That in order to be a REAL Celtic manager you had to win the league. Now he had done it and could move out of the shadows and be considered as a proper Celtic manager. He never said he was like Stein. Asked about his ambitions he said, like every FOOTBALL manager it was to win the Champions league and he was going to give it a go at Celtic. The question was on his ambitions. He even mentioned that it may be somewhere else.
What chance does he have if Celtic supporters are willing to believe what is written in the bloody Daily Record. Some of you guys need to have a good look at yourselves. You moan and moan about the MSM but regurgitate the same garcbage in your criticism of Neil Lennon.
Good on him for confronting this nonsense I hope he does it every week. Stein once chased R.H. Davidson of Airdrie up the stairs at Hampden after terrible decisions given against Celtic and appeared in front of the SFA three times in a month at the beginning of the 1970s for criticism of referees. Now the papers are saying Stein would never have done anything like Lennon has. And Celtic supporters nod in agreement. Billy McNeil decked a lying journalist for coming out with crap against his team.
Stein could so what he did because of his background, big Billy was Scottish football’s most successful captain, again he could get away with it. But we know why Neil cannot…it is because of what he is rather than who he is. They cannot handle him and ‘DougieDougieGate’ has only increased their hatred.
No marks like Andy Walker should maybe read what Stein said about referees and then compare what Lennon says. No different. Walker knows that if he said any different, like Nicholas, he would not be employed for very long in the Scottish media. Some Celtic supporters should read the same things before being ‘embarrassed’ by he manager.

I was at the game and forced myself to watch it at night on Sportscene.
The film of the Celtic goal did NOT prove it was offside. The camera was not in line!!
The Black tackle was not discussed on Sportscene. Not exactly a surprise.
Perhaps Lenny gets a bit hot and bothered but he saw what happened to Tony Mowbray. My telly had bad interference on it last night- Stuart Dougal. Ugh!

Hi jimmy, the referee you speak of was not tiny wharton but david syme, who is in the top eschelons of power at hampden. His father was a rabid rangers fan who was named willie. After the game at ibrox was finished, big jock walked on to pitch and said to david syme Your father would be very proud of you today. The decisions david syme made that day were the actions of an out and out bigot. The sfa and syme were raging at jock and tried everything in their rule book to nail the big man,but he knew the remark made was too cute for them to do anything about.god rest you jock, the best friend celtic ever had.

Age is a terrible thing, eh. Neil Lennon does nothing more than Wenger, Ferguson and many other managers across Europe. God, Mourinho became a national treasure in Britain because of his ‘passion’ and has behaved a lot worse in Spain than Neil has done in Scotland. Sometimes he has even sent his incredibly talented team out to maim, resulting in multiple sendings off. Does he get the same treatment as Neil Lennon? Of course not. He is still spoken of as one of the best coaches in the business.
It is bad enough that Neil Lennon gets abuse from every other fan in Scotland but when Celtic fans start on him I find in hard to take. People hammered Mowbray for ‘taking it on the chin’, Brady was criticised for not fully understanding what it was all about. Macari for being absent and not being involved. We have a manager with the same passion as Stein and McNeill and now he is too much for us!
The SFA/SPL/Media/whole of Scottish football hate Neil Lennon because he has exposed them for what they are. And they do not like being confronted with the ugly truth. Things are changing in Scottish football these are the death throes of a dying beast.
Stick with it Neil your day is about to come.
