A Brief Overview of a Storied Career

It can’t be denied that the Celtic football club has been home to some of the most illustrious and colourful players to grace the Scottish Premier League. But if there’s one player that could be singled out from the rest of the Celtic hall of famers, it would have to be the legendary Charles Patrick “Charlie” Tully.

Born and raised in Belfast, the famed footballer immediately made an impact during his first few games with the team. In fact, after his incredible performance against the Rangers where they defeated the squad, 3-1, he was then regarded as a football hero and has even sparked the “Tully Mania” which grew immensely around town. His skills as an inside-left footballer were of no comparison. With his cheek and charm appeal, he not only dominated the pitch but also enamoured the fancy of football fans.     I was 8 Years of age when I first saw the great man .Don’t know who we are playng at the time but he came to take a shy , called in those days and he bunced the the ball of the opposing teams back as he turned round to move away and started an attack when he got the ball back pure genius!!
