Lukasz Zaluska

The news broke this week that Celtic’s back up goalkeeper Lukasz Zaluska had been attacked on a night out in the early hours of Monday morning in Ashton Lane.

It was later reported that the attacker was a fellow Scottish Premiership player that can’t be named for legal reason although some people believe they know the player’s identity.

Zaluska, aged 32, was out on a night out with his wife in Glasgow’s west end when the attack took place, Zaluska suffered a loss of blood and a head injury.

The police continue to investigate the incident and hope to make progress as the week goes on.

Zaluska however, returned to training at Lennoxtown on Tuesday morning in which he completed a full session of training. Zaluska didn’t seem to show any concern for long term effects after the attack, but it was noted that he pulled his hat over the left side of his face to cover his eye.

Everyone here at thecelticblog.com wishes Lukasz Zaluska all the best and hopes that he can put this ugly incident behind him and concentrate on football.
