Goal.com announced yesterday that Celtic are lining up a move for French free agent Lassana Diarra. It is believed that Celtic have opened talks with the 29 year old midfielder in an attempt to bring him to Celtic Park.
Diarra has played for a host of top clubs including Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid. He most recently played in Russia for Lokomotiv Moscow, but left the club earlier this year, he has been linked with a handful of clubs and came close to signing with English Premier League side Queens Park Rangers in the recent transfer window but the move broke down at the last minute.
It’s thought that Diarra’s potential move to Scotland has come as a result of Tottenham Hotspur ruling out a move for the former Real Madrid star.
The French man has played 28 times for his country but is yet to score for Les Tricolores.

I would agree to bringing him in on a 12 month deal if his wage demands are not too high. Just hope if we get everything sorted out with paper work and bring him in he’s not another big name that flops at Celtic Park.
