Celtic huddle

Celtic’s Development side were expected to play an SPFL Development League game away too Dunfermline Athletic tonight (6th November) but the game has been postponed.

The game has been called off after a pitch inspection revealed that the pitch at East End Park is unplayable due to being waterlogged.

Tonight’s match is set to be rearranged soon, but the young hoop’s next scheduled match is on the 10th of November as the Bhoys welcome the visit of Hibernian from Edinburgh.

In other young hoop’s news, Celtic Development side midfielder Luke Donnelly has left the club on loan. 18 year old Donnelly has gone out on loan for three months to league 2 side East Stirlingshire.

Donnelly will be aiming to pick up as much first team experience while on loan and the East Stirlingshire manager is excited about what Donnelly can bring to his side.

East Stirlingshire manager, Craig Tully told the official SPFL website: “Luke seems technically quite accomplished and will bring us a bit of a physical presence. We certainly don’t want to start over-using the loan system, but if we could find one or two more to improve us in specific positions, then we would consider it.”

Everyone here at thecelticblog wishes young Luke Donnelly all the best and hopes he can pick up valuable experience that will enhance his game.
