The former Liverpool boss has been confirmed as our new boss and he will look to lead us to a sixth successive Scottish Premiership title next season.

While he will face competition from newly-promoted Rangers and Derek McInnes’ improving Aberdeen side, Rodgers will be confident of achieving his ultimate goal of the Scottish title – as well as triumphing in one of the cup competitions.

However, Rodgers will need to bring a few players into the club this summer if we are to hold off our title rivals. Rangers have already been active in the transfer window and we must act and send out a clear statement of intent ahead of the new campaign. Here are a couple of budding stars that Rodgers may move for this summer.

Ivan Mocinic

Scott Brown isn’t getting any younger and we could certainly do with some new blood in the middle of the park. Mocinic is just 23 years old but has already made his debut for the Croatia national side and is currently the captain of HNK Rijeka. On his day, he’s a dominant figure and it’s very easy to imagine him maturing into a top star at Celtic Park.

After winning the title in each of the last five years, we will be one of the leading contenders to defend our crown in the Scottish football betting markets and Mocinic would certainly help our chances. Fellow Croatia star Jozo Simunovic has already revealed to reporters that he believes Mocinic has the qualities needed to be a huge success in Scotland – and based on our own views, he’s right.

Mohamed Elyounoussi

The Molde forward is a supreme prospect and we have already witnessed his talents first-hand in last season’s Europa League. At just 21 years old, the Norwegian international already has over 50 senior goals to his name and he is very similar to Leicester City’s Riyad Mahrez – although it would be foolish to expect him to make a parallel impression.

Rodgers should at least consider a move for the Molde man based purely on his home and away demolition job against us. Elyounoussi would certainly bring flair and excitement to a side that has been a bit tedious in style throughout the last 12 months. Without a shadow of a doubt, Rodgers should make him his TOP priority this summer.

With Mocinic and Elyounoussi in the side, we would stand a great chance of retaining our crown next season. Rodgers doesn’t need to make too many changes but these two additions would add freshness in key areas, as well as flair and reliability. And if Rodgers can bring these starlets into the club, we will have a couple of top talents on our hands for many years to come.
