This Is What Brendan Was Brought Here For

Celtic has announced a pretty decent attack minded team for tonight’s game, although new boy Moussa Dembele starts on the bench. That’s not really a surprise; he gives us a great option off the bench if we need one later in the game.

James Forrest, Griffiths, Sinclair and Rogic all play from the start.

Strangely, Dorus De Vries doesn’t make the bench tonight, despite being included in the squad ahead of Efe Ambrose, who now looks to be heading out of Celtic Park along with fellow Celt Kris Commons, who’s also been left out.

This is a huge night for all of us, and we’re all pretty excited about it. A narrow win would probably please almost all of us, but I think we can do a wee bit better than that and put this one out of sight this evening, making the return leg a formality.

Sinclair will obviously be the one to watch, but for me I think it’s great that Tom Rogic is back in the team tonight. That could be crucial for us.

The line-up tonight is: Gordon; Lustig, Toure, O’Connell, Tierney; Brown, McGregor, Rogic; Sinclair, Griffiths, Forrest.

Celtic substitutes: Fasan, Bitton, Dembele, Christie, Janko, Sviatchenko, Henderson.

Everybody enjoy it.

I’m too wired to write anything more in-depth than this.

This is what Brendan was hired for.

This is what we brought in top players to do.
