Moussa Dembele gave an interview to a French TV station last night where he reiterated his intent to stay at Celtic for the duration of his deal and probably beyond, calling the fans and the stadium “fantastic” and saying there are few bigger clubs in the game.

This guy has been here five minutes, and he just gets it.

You can tell.

Scoring a hat-trick against Sevco has helped, although he needs a little educating as to what actually happened in 2012. He’s not from around here, but he’s reading the wrong people! Nevertheless, he has a firm grasp on what scoring against any Ibrox team means, and seemed particularly pleased to have “made history” with those goals.

He can make more today by scoring in a Hampden final at the first time of asking.

Moussa loves it here. The media is having trouble swallowing that, and the Sevco fans are petrified of him already, with four goals in two games against them certain to be topped up in December’s clash at their crumbling relic.

This guy is linked with move to all and sundry, big money ones, the sort Celtic are not supposed to be able to turn down. But Brendan wants to keep him and the player wants to stay; that much has been made clear in the last few weeks.

In the meantime, the team for today has just been announced and Moussa is the lone front man, but not the only threat in front of goal. Scott Sinclair misses out, as we might have expected. Leigh has to make do with a place on the bench. Patrick Roberts and James Forrest will be the wide men in a team that utilises Armstrong, Rogic and Brown in the middle, Simo and Sviatchenko at the back, rounded out by Lustig and Izaguerre.

It should be a good one, and Moussa’s interview gets us off to a perfect start.
