Coffee & Tv: Lyon, Arsenal what’s the good of the Emirates Cup? – Highlights.

What did we learn from the weekends football festivities? That a gulf in class is bridgeable if you are fitter than the other mob or it was just a decent run out for the players, against high calibre opponents, who will be involved in Mission Impossible on Wednesday night.

I’m in the later camp.

The fear was that we were scared of getting near the opponents goal. That was put to bed with 4 goals and a host of missed chances. Samaras, again, has given those who like to flip flop another chance to flip flop. I don’t. I still have that taxi number on speed dial.

Zaluska can look heroic and hapless in the same breath. Rogne and Hoovield made an attempt to prove the notion that they are the best two centre backs at the club and why Juarez played over 100 minutes this weekend would puzzle Roy Walker. Mr Chips say’s what he see’s. He’s good. We know he’s good. We need good.

Murphy and Hooper scored. Forrest announced his arrival and now is being saddled with expectation, one of Jedward may have talent and Charlie Mulgrew can only be discussed after the watershed. Plus Stuart Baxter was bundled into the club, from the boot of a Ford Cortina, wrapped in an old living room carpet.

If all these comebacks got you misty eyed and dreaming of the good auld days then what about winning £150 of credit to spend on classic Celtic gear from those good guys at Classic Football Shirts.

The Celtic collection is here.

How do you win the £150 of credit to spend on some of that collection?

Answer this simple question.

Ian Wright is …….a) a knob b) a cock c) an ex Celtic and Arsenal striker.

Send your entries to thelordofthewing@hotmail.com with the subject as classic. You have until midnight on Tuesday.

Good luck and god speed.
