Crosas, Juarez and Loovens Out.

|

With no football, I found myself socialising with Mrs LoTW. I went to see one of those Talkies that are all the rage. It cost me more than your average Diddy Cup tie.  I will think twice about that again.

At least twitter is free. It also stops gossip mongering blogs from searching buckets for tit bits and tapping phones for rumours. Marc Crosas’s is interesting reading and viewing. “You know something isn’t right when you get up at 6:45 to go to Blackburn for a reserve game :(” he tweeted a few weeks back. If that was his first inclination that something wasn’t right then he has a problem.

Like us he has watched our midfield get over-run in the past few weeks without a hint of him getting any game time. At least he seems to have good friends.

At least all three can compare notes of what it is like not to be in the managers favoured few. Only Loovens deserves to be frozen out. Well, he is shit. The other two haven’t had a chance. Crosas and Juarez don’t seem to come with a memo from South Korea.

I wouldn’t be surprised if all 3 left in the next window as we see another number of changes at Revolving Door FC. Will we get rid of the correct ones is the biggest question.

Players will always be the subject of opinion….
(I know a guy who rates Lee Naylor…’nuff said)..
As far as the above three are concerned……
Loovens always looked the most cumbersome and slowest CB I’d seen at that level..and nothing’s changed there….
Crosas has had enough chances to stamp his authority and claim a permanent place in the mid-field….and failed.
    Juarez..now there’s a strange one….when he first played he looked the business..now?? ….
looked mince is his recent outings….Go figure.
    Will they go in January??…first two will I think… not so sure about Juarez….although I think he’s not Lenny’s favourite player…by about 3 miles….
    One thing’s for sure….there will be changes….
hope one is a class CB….or we’re doomed ah tell ye !!
All the foregoing is only an opinion mind….so nae shoutin’ at me…ok ??

The only take you can make on Juarez is that he is struggling to settle. Really, what other take can you have? I would keep look what has happened to Ki after a few months and a run of games.

changes? Well there is talk about transfers concerning our team all over the tabloid gossip columns today. Stephen Ireland to us, browny to inter or juve, suler to us, loovens back to cardiff in a swap deal for whittingham. So its heating up already for january. Oh and for the huns, kenny miller to ac milan, had me pishin meself laughin in my brew.

    • lordofthewing says:

Misser to Milan and Broonie to Inter or Juve. Bejesus has Serie A fallen so far? Or, more likey the Sundays have been smoking crack.

  • Mike Bhoyle says:

Sean : It seems that was a mis-print….
Broonie is wanted by FRAY BENTOS ( not JUVENTUS)..
and Miller is being tracked by AC MILANDA …the works team of the famous bread makers….
    hope that clears things up…..

    • lordofthewing says:

I’ve just pictured Broonie being killed and stuffed in a tinned chicken pie. Does that count as a snuff fantasy?

  • Mike Bhoyle says:

LOTW: Managers have favourites and also players they just don’t rate….but here’s a question….
how much involvement does Lenny really have in the signing of players like Juarez ?? Celtic have introduced a deliberate policy (IMO) of “spreading their wings” with signings from all over the place…and I’m not sure that Lenny knows too much about what he’s getting at times.
I don’t agree about the settling in thing either..
as far as Ki goes…that was just a mistake on Lenny’s part IMO…the boy was always a very good player…but Lenny took the hump with him for some obscure reason..( not one of his signings)…
and hopefully , now, will play him every week.
Repeating what I said earlier…Jurez just hasn’t looked the part when given the chance recently..and I can’t figure that out.

These players are still young. The team could be doing with more experienced players. It wasn`t that long ago that the team had too many old players and was being overrun in midfield. At least both approaches have a commom
    fault. 🙂
Who knows what will happen but if it remains so cold I would imagine that Lennoxtown would be the last place that people want to work.
Mr Crosas I was out by 6.45 every day last week! 🙁 That`s got me thinking now.

  • Bhoy oh Bhoy says:

Maybe Juarez has interested some ‘bigger’ clubs and has his sights on a move, and maybe Celtic are happy to take a decent sum for him. His early performances were undeniably of a high standard but there’s no way his dip in form is due to not settling in. Hope we can keep him and get the best out of him consistently. Loovens and Crosas have had their chances and failed so they can move on. Stephen Ireland to Celtic? Really?

    • lordofthewing says:

I bragged that Juarez would be player of the year after watching him pre-season the dip on form is unfathomable. Head turned and he just bidding time? Club looking to make profit to spunk on an on loan EPl ‘star’?

      That wouldn’t be like us.

  • ianin440 says:

With Juarez it could be a World Cup induced dip but I don`t hear any rumours that his poor form is due to other reasons. 🙂

  • chiefinkorea says:

Ki, and possibly Cha, will be away in January for th Asian Cup so with Brown and Kayal probably still looking for match fitness, I’d be surprised if they left – at least before others were brought in.

Provided we don’t lose more ground before then January will let us know where the board stand. I’m hoping there’s no loan signings. Not too many anyway, that just puts us back at square one come summer.

Anyone know if Newcastle will be wanting Forster back? Could be looking for a keeper, few defenders and midfielders.

    • Sean says:

      @ Cheifinkorea

The mrs and her side of the family are all avid Toon fans and their view seems to be that Forster will be called back in, even though Krul is doing exceptionally ok with a side that seems to struggle away from home, he is still very young and Forster does seem to have a bit more about him than Krul.

Forster will go back to Newcastle. Hughton has been quoted saying than none of his players will be available for sale.

….But we have all heard that one before, so I leave it in your judgement.

I still think an ageing Shay Given will come to Celtic and also possibly Robbie Keane may come back as he has some unfinished business maybe?

As for Stephen Ireland, he may deem himself to be a to big of a player to play for our club maybe? Even though I would love to see him and Browny, Ledley or Ki team up to create a monster of a headache for Lennon and a hell of a handful for our opponents.

Who knows what January may bring.

      • lordofthewing says:

Houghton has been sacked but I hope the new boss does fancy Double F. He has a case of the Rab’s.

        Uncureable fear of crosses.

Keane, Given and Ireland? No chance of any of them coming when we only have a few bottles of ginger to cash in.
