Jock Stein And The Ibrox Disaster.

On the 2nd of January 1971, sixty-six football fans lost their lives watching the game they love.

Those who remember the terraces can all recount at least one time when the feeling of being carried along in the crowd, helplessness and pure fear washed over them.  Mines was 1985 Cup Final when the turnstyles brokedown.

No matter the team or the circumstances no fan deserves to lose their life at a game of football. It’s only a game and tomorrow’s memorial should serve as a reminder of that.

Let’s pay our respects to fellow fans.
