Gordon Strachan Joins Key’s And Gray In Old Boys Club.

Gordon Strachan has been giving a wide and far reaching interview to The Daily Record this week. It’s not hard to deduce that there is an important vacant position in the SFA by the partisan content of his ramblings. His chances of getting a job at Sky Sports are slim now anyway.

He say’s Celtic are wrong to question the integrity of referees while questioning their integrity himself when recalling an incident when he was manager of Coventry.

“When I was at Coventry I was reported by the ref and two linesman who all side I had instigated a stramash in the technical area in a match against Chelsea. Little did they know Sky had cameras right above it. So we’ve took that footage to the hearing with my lawyer and we said, “You’ve made this up – you are lying” He cackled like a broken breval spitting loose bits of cheese on toast.

He also launched a staunch defence of Gray and Keys with an extraordinary explanation of their words. Gordon, explains that his wife – who has watched over 1000 games – thinks listening to a women commentating on a game ‘doesn’t sound right’ and that women linesmen and referees ‘don’t look right’.
He goes on, “That’s why I use the example of my wife. After watching 1000 games she has every right to an opinion. She prefers men doing these things and I feel the same way. You might feel the same way too but you’d be to scared to say that. Women have far more jobs in football now than 20 years ago. So what are they complaining about? What do you want 50-50?”

A dinosaur view, a bit like his tactics. A career at TalkSPORT or the SFA beckons.
