It’s Not F.A.R.E

Aasmah Mir, what you may call an intellectual mans w@nk. This week has seen her embroiled in controversy after F.A.R.E of which her husband, Piwar Power is an Executive director , fingered R*ngers for sectarian singing during recent Eurovision games against PSV. The meeja smell a rat.

Aasmah admits that she is a Celtic fan. In an interview with The Times she admits that she is a staunch Celtic fan: “I’ve just got a thing about underdogs. I always support whoever isn’t having the easiest time.” she adds as way of an explanation while it also suggests that Bernard Ponsonby  had more to do with her choice than her growing up in a Celtic family.

Aasmah employers called F.A.R.E an organisation that “claims to represent a network of organisations from 37 countries that aim to tackle discrimination and racism in football.”  A quick look at F.A.R.E website and it becomes clear that they don’t need to “claim” anything.

Full endorsements from UEFA and FIFA. They are not some tinternet warriors running around sending badly composed e-mails.

F.A.R.E have answered the allegations of a “deliberate and targeted campaign against the club“. They state that ” The reports were gathered as part of an ongoing monitoring programme undertaken by partners of the network, in this case prompted by concerns at sectarian singing at previous R*ngers matches in Europe this season.”

The suggestion that EUFA are targeting R*ngers is correct. Their previous in Europe would make Pol Pot blush and off course EUFA want to be seen as condemning  all kinds of sectarian and discriminatory behavior. A drum being beaten by EUFA head lackie Michel Platini recently.
