Thank You

|

Hi Sports Fans!

Thought I’d use this chance to thank everyone I’ve encountered this season, a season which will never be forgotten by any Celtic fan the world over.

Whether you be a Celtic player, part of the management team, or part of the board, thank you for just being there and doing your bit and ensuring that we’ve had some of the best moments as a Celtic fan ever this season.

Oh and ofcourse. Neil Lennon – Thank You, for everything, for picking the team, for motivating the team, for beating Rangers 3 times, For showing less rookie mistakes than the ‘experienced’ Tony Mowbray made last season, for dealing with everything they’ve flung at you with immense courage and dignity. Neil Lennon Thank you for giving me back my Celtic and what it means to be a Celtic fan. You are now the meaning of Celtic to everyone involved at the moment. God Bless you and good luck for next season.

Georgios Samaras, Emilio Izaguirre, Joe Ledley and Beram Kayal – Thank you for making my first trip to Ibrox so memorable. Samaras thanks for the two great goals that gave me two moments of absolute heaven, Izaguirre for that world class display on the left, terrorising the Rangers defence as well as their attack who couldn’t get by you. Ledley for the pass for the first goal and the performance that announced your arrival in a Celtic Jersey. Kayal? Well that was the day we found out you’re the best thing thats happened to that Celtic midfield since Paul McStay.

Gary Hooper – Thank you for all those goals, especially the one at Tannadice in the last minute, that goal of the season candidate at Hibs, as well as ofcourse, those two against Rangers, the first which was world class by the way. Thank you for adapting so quickly despite getting injured as soon as you got here and a few times throughout the season.

Kris Commons – Thank You for coming into the side in late January and transforming our midfield. It is no coincidence that our midfield has scored more goals since the arrival of you and you have helped yourself to 14 goals and will sure no doubt, score tomorrow in the scottish cup final.

Scott Brown – Thank You skipper for being just that this season, thank you for being the driving force in our midfield and now we’ve found the best position for you then theres no stopping you. Oh and cheers for the Brooney, and my most enjoyable goal at Ibrox this season.

But its not just them I want to thank. I want to thank the Celtic supporters. This has been the best season to be a supporter in the stands I have ever experienced. From I just can’t get enough to the huddle, I’ve haven’t enjoyed supporting Celtic so much in all my life.

But the biggest thank you for the season goes to the Twitter brigade, you all know who you are! Whether you were on the roll of honour that went to Ibrox with me on the 2nd of January. Whether you were at Hampden for the Semi-Final against Aberdeen last month and bumped into me. Its always nice to say Hi before we all embark on another mission supporter our great Club. Or whether you just simply keep me amused on a daily basis. Marc Crosas thank you as well, for connecting with the Celtic support in a way no player ever has, despite not getting a game at all you were always in high spirits and ALWAYS had the highest opinion of Celtic. Your departure was one I felt more than that of some others that have left in the last few years.

Also a big thanks to lordofthewing for giving me the opportunity to fill your friday up with my blog. Its been a pleasure, whether you like what I’ve said or not its always good to know you’ve read it. Cheers to Harper for the tip off as well to get me on board.

So if you’re up there above, and you all are, Thank you for making this season the best ever and hopefully we are celebrating the Scottish Cup tomorrow. The main reason you are all getting a thank you is because in the past 12 months or so you have reaffirmed my view that Celtic is the greatest club to support in the world.

Thank you for reassuring me that I wouldn’t swap this for anything else in the world.

Another game another emotional rollercoaster. Hoping that we see a fitting climax to the season with the Bhoys lifting the cup.
    Come on the Celts!
