Quote Of The Day: “Neither party can just run off”

I can’t help thinking it could all be so different for Morten Rasmussen. But it’s come to this.

“I’m taking it easy because I have a contract and neither party can just run off. Unless there is an offer from another club, until then I am sticking to my agreement If there are offers then I will look at what is interesting but if nothing happens in the transfer window then I can show the coach that I should play.”

After a season on loan to Mainez then Aalborg, who want to take him back but can’t afford him, the player has returned and is spending time with the other unwanted players at Lennoxtown.

As the video below proves it looked different for the player at one point. Him and The Gaffer looked close. This game was actually one of the highlights of that season. After watching months of our strikers hiding outside the box the introduction of Rasmussen and Keane ticked the box marked something different.

In this game we were a goal down when Ras was introduced. He troubled the Hibs defence unlike they had been troubled in the previous minutes. His winner was greeted like a league winner not a face saver.

Rumours of unfitness and general lack of ability still persist about him. At least we have this moment.
