Another Politician Epic Fail.

The above is Scottish Lib Dem Leader William Rennie (I know that 99% of Scotland and the reading world won’t have a clue who he is) who uttered the above words after ‘shamed faced’ Frank ‘Macca’ McAvennie was filmed and posted on Yous Tube being very, very drunk and making no attempt to remember the words of The Boys Of The Old Brigade.

The article lazily and boringly uses all the usual cliches and makes the usual faux pas concerning the song. It also claims that Celtic fans have been warned that they maybe arrested for singing this while other outlets claim that because it is pre-1969 then it is ok.

The politician is described as outraged. I’m going to describe him as a fool, an uneducated buffon who shouldn’t be commenting on something he clearly hasn’t got a clue about. Another bandwagon jumper trying to gain favour and save his party that is doomed without engaging his brain.

It’s no wonder we don’t trust politicians.

This blog’s stance is clear. While we have no problem with anyone singing the aforementioned song we do think that a football ground is no longer the place. Anyone with the ideals that they can do what they want are using the same lack of grey matter as those who believed that Curry’s owed them a Tv.

Macca has done nothing wrong apart from become a parody of himself as the video proves. Celtic agreed.

Totally agree with everything you said there. It’s been mentioned before on different sites, but it does seem to have escaped the notice of a lot of people up here that, not too long ago, HM the Jelly Bean laid a wreath in honour of the BOTOB and others. I guess they’re not that big on forgive and forget. Or maybe wee Lizzie aint loyalist enough for them anymore.

I agree with everything said in the article. Really confused by the media reporting on a ex Celtic AND West Ham, and another team i can’t remember the name, NOT singing an Irish song IN IRELAND! Stink of Media House all over it, if this is the best they can do in 3 months then Creepy Whyte must be pretty pissed off!

I wonder if he thinks Walter Smith, Craig Brown & Andy Goram should be banned? I wonder if he agrees with the sacking of Hugh Dallas? I wonder if he agrees with the punishments dished out to Rangers by UEFA?
