The Good, The Bad And The Ugly Of Lions in Zion v Sion.

The Good.

After a poor result it’s great that we have the opportunity to get back in the saddle so quick and in such an important game. It’s the chance to get the feeling of disappointment over as soon as it came on. It’s also the reason that we haven’t dwelled on Sunday.

Though the task is difficult it’s not insurmountable, Sion, looked tidy but not undoable. Treat it like a tough away SPL ties, say, Ipox or Swinecastle, then I’m confident that we should get a result. That’s just blind optimism though.

Plus, Hooper, Wilson and Kayal, unlike Mr T, have got on the god damn plane.

The Bad

That I’m fretting we are missing Charlie Mulgrew from frequenting his worst position is bad. Also, that though they are on the plane the risk of attempting to play half fit players seems risky at best.

How good are Sion? We really haven’t got a clue. They came for a draw last week and got it. There was no expansion or adventure. They need to score to go through. We really only have Dan as our truly fit centre back. We have no left back available.

I’m probably right in considering, weighing up odds, that us losing a goal is a decent bet. Plus our away record is woeful.

Samaras as a lone striker is also a possibility.

The Ugly

That defeat will see us plunged into a crisis that the media are already rubbing their hands and licking their lips in glee at reporting. Lennon will be under serious pressure and rumours will be abound that we will need to sell anyone from Kayal to John Clark.

The CelticCyberWorld will implode in a sea of Sack The Board, Lawwell GTF and Dermot get your cheque book out rage that will dwarf anything the Daily Mail readership can conjure up when discussing immigration.

Plus, how embarrassing will it be when UEFA punt Sion out and we sneak in the back door for Thursday Night C5 extravaganzas before their Patrick Swayze season?
