The feeling of glamour friendlies, we are only here for the money and not points reigns over me.
Still there is a lot of talent floating around the group. Talent that BIG money has been shelled out on or bid for. Let’s have a look:
Radamel Falcao Garcia Zarate
Signed for Athletico Madrid this summer for 40m Euros which could rise to 47m. The player last season scored 34 goals in all competitions including 15 in this one. He is the leader of youth groups called “Locos por Jesus” and “Campeones para Cristo” but did play for the Evil Porto Tribe.
He joins a squad that boasts Reyes, Diego and Arda Turan. While Falcao alone has the talent to make our defence look like council workers staring at a hole in wonder this quartet has enough to trouble better teams than us.
Yann M’Vila
The Rennes midfielder was subject to numerous 30m bids in the summer and it was not just Arsene Wenger applying his own ‘unknown Frenchman tax’ to the transfer proceedings.
Highly decorated at all levels in France and seemingly the new Vieria.
Antonio Di Natale
Though now 33 the ‘hitman’ has scored 59 goals in the last 2 Serie A seasons winning the ‘Capocannoniere’. His performance against Le A*se in the Big Cup qualifiers see’s me think that if Falcao and Co can makes our defence look like they are looking in a hole he will certainly put us in it.
Which is apt. As he is from Naples and looks like he would gladly put a horses head in your bed.
Gary Hooper and Mo Bangura
Off course we can’t be left out. Gary Hooper was subjected to a deadline day Sweetastic Blockbusting bid of £29m from an unknown club from an unknown universe, which would have seen him become the first intergalactic player after James T Kirk.
From the clipping above it seems that Mo Bangura was also in demand and worryingly disappointed when he wasn’t allowed to leave.
